Who Is The Best Primarch?

Discussion in 'Space Marines' started by Grigdusher, Oct 19, 2013.

  1. Trust me Murtag my brother, Sergoros has a tendency to deny everything in favour of "everyone was used by chaos". We have given him the Emperor's own words and instead of him saying "ohh well I guess it's a possibility that the lore with the shamans that has always been there and has yet to be compromised could have some truth". We gave him the quote and he tries to dismantle it. Now I get that even if the Emperor has no reason to lie to his fellow perpetual, his words could be suspect, but Sergoros does not even take the time to consider their truth, he just goes straight to dismantling it.

  2. So, you bitch at others for not providing quotes and giving vague sources, then you proceed to do the exact same thing, wasting everyone's time and yet again driving home your staggering hypocrisy. You expect someone to trawl through a several hundred page book to find some vaguely defined point in support of your argument, yet expect every other person to deliver direct quotes, exact page numbers and cite extremely specific sources for your convenience. Likely only for you to discard them on some vague reason of "oh well that book is loyalist" or some such outright bullshit.
Tell me, does being such a raging pissant and a complete failure of a human being come naturally to you, or is this some ambition you have been striving towards most of your life?

  4. I'd say Lorgar pre-Heresy.

He stayed longer on the planets he took than anyone else, building up their civilizations. He said he disliked war and didn't see himself as a soldier.

Unlike the others, he seems like he could have been a good man someday. Until the Emperor figured the best way to show him he wasn't a god was by obliterating the greatest city he had helped the populace build on any of the planets he took.

As we all know, that certainly worked.

I'd like to think that if he had just found the right thing to worship, he would've gone down a better path. If the Tau had been around to tell him about the Greater Good and the Undying Spirit, the Word Bearers would have been a Gue'vesan army. Perhaps the reason he's been in self-imposed isolation all this time is because he realizes his mistake...

Though of course by the same token he could have accidentally awoken a bunch of Necrons and become a crazed Nightbringer cultist D:

Lets get this back on topic, please.

As a huge IF fanboy I have to have Dorns corner on this one, but if I had to choose someone else it would be Sanguineous. That guy held the Eternity gate on his own.

Well yeah that is why the Emperor disliked Lorgar's methods, it took too long while the Ultramarines and Luna Wolves were getting multiple systems and planets while Lorgar had managed to just claim a single system or a few planets. They were fanatically loyal to the Emperor after Lorgar had left though.

The Emperor did do some silly stuff when dealing with the Primarchs... =P

I doubt the Word Bearers would have joined with the Tau in anyway or form. Tau irreligious beings who see only the Ethereals as their leaders/gods in a loose sense while the Word Bearers fanatically loyal to Humanity's superiority and the Emperor would cause them to not really even talk to the Tau or any other Xeno. You've seen how fanatical they are about Chaos well Pre-Heresy they were just the same but about the Emperor...

Xenos to all Space Marines are inferior and are weak compared to Humanity so I highly doubt any Primarch would dabble in Xeno mythology. Unless Lorgar or the Emperor could return the Eldar Pantheon then I'd be all for it... =D

I find it hard to be believe Lorgar would have now found out he made a mistake, to side with Chaos, the Primarchs siding with Chaos had to believe entirely that they were betrayed, deceived and/or used by the Emperor. That is why the Primarch mainly left to join Chaos none were really power hungry until they joined Chaos.

Thread has been cleared up, off-topic posts have been removed. If this carries on then I will place warning points on accounts which will hinder you from posting. This is thread is for discussing Primarchs only, please do that in a respectful way.

    Thanks.

  8. Part of why my favourite chapter is Salamanders is because of Primarch Vulkan. I greatly admire him because of his humility and that he sees all battle-brothers as equals. Having regeneration powers is quite the plus too.

I agree that Vulkan is a pretty cool guy but to me the whole regeneration stuff is just silly. If it was a superior healing like if he was hit with an axe or sword it would heal within minutes or seconds but if he's had his head cut off then he should be just as dead as Ferrus.

    Still a cool guy though...

    Please, let's be fair here.
We all know the primarchs are friggin ridiculous at healing, I mean, look at all these primarchs who were supposedly "dead" or "fatally wounded" and just use magic (HERESY!) to heal it. We got Guilliman who's supposedly healing wounds in a STASIS FIELD. We've got Lion just sitting in the rock, supposedly recovering from (or unscathed by for all we know) Luther's Psychic attack (Which of course, was supposedly fatal). Why can't us Salamanders have our beloved Primarch back? I mean, isn't one of his powers superior regeneration too?

It's not like we didn't already give our entire legion on Isstvan V or anything...

Anyway, If you couldn't tell, Vulkan is my favorite. Mostly due to the fact that he doesn't see himself as above "silly mortals" and all. Oh, and being a smith is bad-ass too.
