In fairness, being forgettable was one of his powers. Still, that seems like a fair analysis. I certainly don't agree with all of them personally, but thank you for giving such full responses.
I think that being able to recognize your own legion as a bunch of crazy murderers and trying to rectify the problem(although he failed) makes him a pretty good primarch. But sadly he was also completely crazy.
I would make a long and passionate argument here but really The Angel deserves the top slot so i'll keep it short. Sanguinius - Noble, Strong, Skilled, Selfless, Paragon of Imperial Virtues, and He Willingly and Knowingly Martyred himself on Horus' Blade in the defense or Terra.
The Lion. He might not be the best duelist/gladiator (although anyone but another primarch is toast, of course), but all he does is win. Greatest strategist. If he's involved, the battle is won before the first shot is fired.
SPOILER!!! Last time I read the "Legion" novel, course in which Chaos would win thus resulting Horus in exterminating all humanity which would result in Chaos Gods dying out, was Cabal's goal, not Alpharius Omegon's. Hence the Primarchs of XXth Legion did all in their power to ensure that Cabal's attempt to go through their scheme would end up in failure. State your source that claims otherwise.
Oops, I forgot to add a spoiler tag to my original post (I've modified my post). ***SPOILER for Legion below*** I listened to Legion on audiobook while painting so it didn't get 100% of my attention so you might certainly be correct and I hope you are. But the impression that I got was that Alpharius was pretty much on board with the Cabal while Omegon was a bit hesitant, however I prefer your interpretation I think that's more interesting .
Meh, I don't like pollings based on skewed absolutes.. IMHO none of them are the best of all, but have their own complimenting strengths. After all, that was the whole point behind the primarch project in the first place. But, me personally; I've always liked Alpharius and Magnus because their the odd balls of the family and I can on some level sympathize with them having been one myself.
Don't worry about it, you just got it backwards that's all. All that what you worte was going to happent only the bad guys weren't the XX Legion Primarchs, but the Xenos Cabal. If you can, please go through Audiobook again. I have the novel of the same name "Legion" which I enjoyed reading, but now that I know there is an Audobook I'll go at it one more time.
Russ is the man, wipes his backside with the Codex and is one of the few genuinely likable and down to earth Primarchs. The Lion is scum, only good with a sucker punch and deserves to rot.
