Agree that they really tend to waste time a lot. Honestly why even do a twitch? Just make a weekly youtube video with the changings coming up and QnA. See friggin Star Citizen. They have the right idea: Youtube: Around the Verse (updates), Questions for the chairman (QnA) Twitch: Reverse the verse (more talking about the updates/interviewing people etc EC could do: Youtube: Dev Diary (they previewed it on launch day), Weekly update Twitch: Into the Warp (Gameplay + QnA)
I watched a game called Warframe absolutely trash all of its potential for months on end, releasing horrible content gated beyond weeks of grind that had such little variance from what was already in the game. It had between 10k-12k players on average a day when I left two years ago. It has been in perpetual beta, and crushed more promises than this game ever even conceived. It's now somehow at 30k players a day. If they can fix core mechanics, and balance this game to a more playable state, it'll do fine.
