I think it may do with the Dawn of War games that were made for the PC you played the Blood Ravens and because they are similar to the Blood Angels nobody wants to be one and really the UMs act too human for a SM to be taken seriously cuz when I think of Warhammer I think of Guardsmen getting ran threw by the Green Tide and a SM chapter has to come in and save the day and then go on to there next fight not stick around making sure everyone feels better while then next planet over is devoured by Tyranids but again just my opinion I'm not a big fan of the UMs I prefer the Iron Hand and the Black Templars
I used to not be a big fan of the Ultramarines until I read Know No Fear. Since then I actually like them a lot more. Not as much as the Wolves or Fists, but they are getting up there.
Well being dirt poor I can't buy any 40k books so all my argument has to stand on is the Dawn of War games and the Xbox 360 games
I'll be playing Dark Angels or Blood Angels, also until Raven Guard come in. They might not make it but that's ok. The fifth chapter might change my mind though.
Blood Ravens only share the red color (different shade) and "Blood" being a part of the chapter's name. Besides that they are entirely different
Ultrasmurfs?... You may change your mind once your scrapmetal sword breaks against my Stormshield, your torso disappear in a splash of blood thanks to my Thunder Hammer and your skull shatters in a million pieces under my boot, greenskin.
