You are right, MANY guardsmen could be dangerous. Unfortunately, you are just one.
  2. Carapace Armor does not stop bolter rounds, It breaks the immersion completely to a point where I don't feel it's playable to have them survive it. Remember a lot of this game is going to be about melee combat, what does a guardsman do in melee against a Chaos Marine?

    Honestly what?

A Chainsword can kill a Marine, there is no difference between an Marine Chainsword and an Guard one except for the looks. Stormtroopers can carry Powerswords. The Standard Kasrkin-Sergeant Model even does that.

With both, Power and Chainsword you don't need much Strength to cut or tear through an enemy, the Weapon is powerfull enough to manage that with little Strength.

Calls in the space marines. Or shit his pants.

Not enough Space Marines in the Entire Imperium to do that.

Then they would die I guess.

And the most of the Imperium with them. One Marine can't stop an Invasion and there are not enough Marines to put even one on every Imperial World. But okay gotta admit for the Chaos alone it works. But not if we put the Nids and Orks into it.
  8. Are you serious?

    Really?

Yes and a Stormtrooper is really going to be able to match the speed, strength and ability of a supersoldier that is BRED FOR WAR.

Yes you do, Chainswords do not easily break ceramite.

An ork boy is as strong or stronger than a space marine. He just isn't as skilled as one.

An normal Ork wouldn't either except for the Strength part maybe.

Of course? The Weapon as such is the Same for both Armies. I can argue that he would have to aim for the weakspots like the Banshees did in the DoW 2 intro/trailer to actually deal damage but the Weapon as such is the same as far as i know.

The Power comes out of the Machine mostly, if you look at a Space Marine using the Weapon he hits the Enemy and let the Machine do the rest. Thats also the Way you cut a Tree with a Chainsaw.. little push and let the Machine cut through.

Strength gives you nothing if the enemy hits you first.
