...What? When did I mention not being able to see someone nomatter what you do? I said people can take into cover and you can't get line of sight of them. Nowhere did I mention complete invisibility.
However, for them to be safe for more than a fraction of a second, they would need to be behind something that provided 180 degrees of cover, including above them, because all space marines get grenades. So basically, they'd be safe in a bunker. Maybe.
Yes, it does. But the devs have stated urban environments are unlikely at launch. Not to mention, if they are behind a wall, their enemy is likely in the same building.
Corners of buildings, fortification walls, cargo containers......There are tons of things to hide behind to stay within range for resurrection for necrons.
I would suggest having the range be quite small, considering in the TT it has to be in the same squad. It could also be done so that someone in the squad has to be alive, and a distance requirement. And then have it take at least 10 seconds for them to start getting up, and at least another ten for them to actually get up. And keep in mind, it is fairly unlikely for individual 'crons to get back up. Also keep in mind that this is further balanced by their reliance on mid-range weapons, and their aweful close combat skills, and they also don't get grenades, or similar things.
Oh, for sure! The Impirium is so full of infighting its is difficult to think of what will happen if it does destroy all xenos and conquers chaos (which will never happen). However, in this combat oriented game I have doubts the devs will put to much effort in creating sub factions within the Imperium.
If you go by that logic, Imperial Guard shouldn't be in any game ever, including tabletop, because you can't field a million models. Something tells me you just don't like the Guard. That of course is absolutely stupid. Simply follow the precedent set by tabletop and the DoW games, and Imperial Guard are a perfectly playable faction. And if you don't think we'll be able to get more than 5 people in one place, you've clearly never seen an armored column in Planetside 2.
no i haven't, personally don't enjoy PS2 in the slightest. and the reason it works for those games and Table top is because of their scale. EC is supposedly going to be the game with the largest number of players on a single "map" Deluding the number of players(which i have a feeling will start to dwindle sooner than we hope) by adding more factions isn't doing it any good. we'll have to wait and see i guess, by all means let them keep adding more and more faction making balance constantly harder while pushing further away from lore(which is needed for proper gameplay) though i'd rather not, if needed i have no issue cutting down some guardsman. also whatever it is that's telling you that i don't like IG, is severely wrong.
