Also fyi all the warbands do this. That's why they are no longer full legions. Their thirst for power drives them apart and only significant events such as crusades are able to draw them together. If you read the Word Bearers Trilogy (or just the last book) then you find out a relation between two very powerful leaders who have been subtly fighting each other for power for thousands of years. I'm not going to say who but if you find out it's not a huge spoiler.
personally hoping for world eaters khorn death guard nurgle emperors chillums slaanesh thousand sons tzeench iron warriors undivides
Why Blood Gorgons? Not a Chosens of Nemeroth, or Cleaved, or the Crimson Slaughter, or other newbie warband which are imposed by the last codes and games?
Night Lords. Nothing like sneaking up on someone and screaming "BOOOOO!" then hacking them to pieces while laughing at the look on their face
I wish there were warbands for each of dark god. But actually i'm betting only on undivided ones - so Iron warriors (my second favorite), word bearers, night lords and alpha legion. Iron warriors for some tanky and meaty, word bearers for some support-like, night lords for melee and alphas for ranged combat.
The night lords for sure. The first 40k novel I read was the lord of the night and ever since then I have wanted to be a night lord. Ave Dominus Nox.
Have you read the Night Lords trilogy by ADB? They're highly rated and changed my mind of them from being "gimmicky renegades who have nothing special about them besides bat themed armor" to "legion of renegade space marines who are completely understandable for their corruption and fight for justice above all." Seriously though, unless youre in the middle of a trilogy, make plans to read the NL trilogy next. You wont regret it.
I have gotten through the first two novels in the trilogy. Absolutely a fantastic read and a compelling tragedy. Plus Im a batman fan.
