Well, yes, while there are some mutations - overall Night Lords are one of the few Legions to have the most stable and 'pure' geneseed amongst the Traitor Legions. I think only Alpha Legion, as a majority, have a cleaner geneseed. I think even concerning the Loyalist Legions they have a more stable version of geneseed than most - though this could be because of the vagaries of Warp travel where their geneseed has just had less time to degrade and whatnot.
Since alpha Legion neither joined the retreat to the eye nor settled for this place it oughta be pretty stable...
After reading a lot of the Horus Heresy series, I think I have chosen to go the way of Chaos. I chose Black Legion, but to go further...Thousand Sons all the way. ALL IS DUST!!

you do all realise why its the chaos uindivided legions right, because itd be weird (and break the lore) to see a thousand sons plague bearer or a world eater sorcerer. while angron is my fav primarch of all, ill be going with the word bearers, suits what my personality would be if i worshiped a god (who had proven their existance). id hope my loadout would be a mellee weapon of khorne, pistol of tzeench, greaves, vambraces of slaanesh, chestplate of nurgle and neutral helmet, just to show my dedication to all gods undivided
