    @Vlayden - Captain Brendar Lupus
    @Tamu - Temujin Ogedei - Reiver Veteran
    @WanderingJester - Levos Endus - Inceptor Lieutenant
    @BadDo9 - Agran - Aggressor
    @Taec - Jarrell Endell - Intercessor

    On the Left Flank [NPC Action]
    The group on the hill continued to hold their position, as long as enemies remained in distance there was no reason not to. The two Aggressors of the squad broke off, though to aid Lieutenant Levos. They didn't walk far, only to get in better position for a clear aim. Just before they fired their salvos of frag-missiles, they gave warning beacons across the whole deployed battle force around the shrine. Although the infantry was no danger to them, the group of sentinels started to march towards them.

    On the Right Flank [NPCs + @Taec & @Tamu ]
    The Aggressors of the right-flank squad couldn't aid Levos or anyone else but themselves as they were getting swamped in enemies eager to bring the fight to the Astartes. More and more swarmed, the Intercessors only being endangered by the fact they had to reload. Luckily, there was always someone there to cover the other marine to replenish their weapons.

    However, in the very front of the group, even before the Sergeant was a single standing out Astartes. A man named Jarrell Endell. Once his Bolt Rifle clicked empty, he quickly swapped to the pistol, using it as a point-blank weapon, killing one enemy per single shot. Even using free hand to backhand or punch others in the face, breaking more than just their nose. Following the idiom of their captain, he soon became a reaper amidst the crop their enemy was. One after another fell, and with every kill, he took one more step into the enemy, not so much leaving his squad behind, but apparently attempting to carve a path through the enemy horde.

    This led him to face an officer who was a bit more talented than the throwaway soldiers that he killed in the dozens today alone. The Chainsword came down with zeal, and Jarrell could only evade in the last moment, before receiving a slam from a blunt weapon into his side by an oversized human, most likely ridden with chaos gifts. It was enough to send the Astartes to the ground, making him land on his back. When he lifted his pistol to shoot the chainsword swinger, he only heard an empty clicking of it. With probably the last prayer to the Emperor on his lips, he would be forced to join his side soon...

    Then a silent shot flew through the air, entering one side of the head of the chainsword armed officer, leaving the other. He just slumped to the floor. Temujin had watched the potential of this single marine, having excelled the rest of his entire squad, perhaps majority of the company. But he was a raw diamond. Perhaps under the tutelage of the Command Squad, this Intercessor could become something far more valuable to the entire company? But the Sergeant had no time to worry about that now, bringing his rifle around to continue his assassinations. Although it was hard to continue, as the enemy realized what was going on and discarded most symbols of authority such as hats and badges.

    Jarrell could utilize this moment to reload both of his weapons and then decide to either press on towards the captain in the center of the entire battle, or to attempt to get back to the rest of his squad.

    Against the Ogryns [NPCs + @WanderingJester & @BadDo9 & @Tamu ]
    The Inceptors joined their Lieutenant, Levos. Aiding him in keeping the Ogryns distracted, though their heavy armor and chaos blessings made them as resilient as Mega Nobs, making them take little more than scratches and bruises from the flying attackers.

    The Hellblasters combined their fire with that of Agran, raining plasma hell upon their enemies. The blue bolts of pure heat and energy melted into their armors, but instead of felling them made them just angrier as armor and flesh became one. They screamed in agony, but it reinforced their speed and power as one of them jumped, grabbing an Inceptor by the leg and pulling him down to the floor, before smashing a two-handed maul over and over into him. The armor bent and got ruined as the inside of it was totally shattered, bones breaking and organs failing from the overkill.

    Only then Temujin finally got a clear aim on the Ogryn, sending a salvo of bullets straight into his head, pulverizing the brain. Even then, the Ogryn took a few swings and almost swung his weapon at another Inceptor before falling forwards, finally dead.

    Though that left only 4 more of them. One chasing relentlessly after Levos, the others rushing towards the Hellblasters and Agran. This immediate threat denied them to follow the orders of their captain to take care of the Sentinels. Just then, some frag missiles hit in the midst of the Ogryns, at least wounding them some, even if not straight out killing those resilient bastards.

    Hurricane Captain Lupus [ @Vlayden ]
    All of them, except the one who had kneeled, rushed at the captain - only to be slain in two motions. The soldier who had surrendered his life then grabbed his gear and joined at Lupus side, holding his chainsword with both hands. He was not much help, killing one soldier while Lupus had slain five in the same time.

    The Captain pushed further onward, but eventually the hurricane-like force he was had to come to an end. Out of nowhere a purple and black lightning crashed down, in it's wake a Fallen Astartes standing, clad in the colors of the Word Bearers, armed with a Power Scythe akin to what a Death Guard might arm himself with. "It's your time to die, Captain." He said in a booming voice and charged the Luna Legionnaire without fear. Yet all the mortals in imminent range took a few steps back to watch in awe how this duel would end.

    Captain Brendar Lupus had enough foughts with those blessed by the dark gods to recognize when one was indeed 'gifted', or cursed in any normal human's eye. And from the looks of it, this Word Bearer bore multiple gifts. He had the Mark of Khorne on his forehead, while wherever he stepped, he left a puddle of pestilence, death and decay behind - the Trail of Nurgle's Slime. But there was more to him, Brendar simply knew.

    Levos Endus roared, both in anger and frustration, as he punched the mutated Ogryns repeatedly, only to have the power fists bounce off. While they were causing some damage to the unnatural muscles of the enemy, they failed in killing any single one of them. Jumping away before they could retaliate, the Lieutenant watched as one of them caught an inceptor by the leg before pulverizing him onto the ground within his own armor. Switching on his vox comms, he spoke to the remaining inceptors around. "Disengage and cover the hellblasters. Keep out of their reach. They shall pay tenfold for every drop of our brother's blood they spill."

    Levos nodded as Temujin blasted a massive hole in one of the enemies' dome, finally killing at least one of them. He thought it was the same one that had murdered their brother, and blasted off towards the one hyper-ogryn still chasing him. The Lieutenant aimed his feet to land on the shoulders of the massive humanoid, before raining down punches directly onto the enemy's head, but first a hail of flamers would come from his flame gauntlet, bathing the target and aiming to blind it first in order to avoid getting himself swatted out of the air.

    Jarrel didn't waste any time on the ground, getting back up from where he was laying from being knocked over just moments before. Just moments before, he was almost certain that his time serving was at an end. Now, he had someone to thank.. Had it not been for a timely intervention by another of his brothers, an early ending to his service would most likely have been the case. Thanking the Emperor for delivering such an intervention, he quickly reloaded both the bolt pistol and his bolt rifle, placing the former back in its holster for when it was needed next. He quickly glanced towards we're the shot had come from to see if he could locate the brother that had saved him, but he did not have time to locate him, as enemies were still all around him.

    Looking back, he noticed that his squad was still behind. He considered for a moment going back to rejoin them, as it was a safer course of action. However he decided they were being too slow, and would only slow his advance down. He decided to continue his own advance, albeit a little bit slower. He did not plan on needing to be saved twice today, and he had made it this far on his own already. With one final glance to his sergeant, he made his decision.

    His mind made up about his course of action, Jarrel once again raised his bolt rifle and got ready to remove any of the heretical obstacles from his path. Beginning his advance, he pulled the trigger of his rifle and began sending bolts into the enemies of the emperor that stood before him. He was determined to cut down as many as he could.

  4. Agran snarled at the sight before him, and looked to the sides to the hellblasters. He was loathe to allow these enemies to get to any more of his brothers, so he stepped forwards in his gravis armor and roared into his vox, bellowing a challenge to the thick-headed monstrosities, readying his power fists for battle. However, he was not to do this with fists alone as he hot-loaded a pair of frag missiles and aimed for two of the stumbling Ogryns, firing a single one towards the chest of two different ogryns head-on, using his plasma incinerators to try and melt down a third while waiting to punch the first that would get close enough.

    The enemy soon began to take off their rank indicators like he had expected upon noticing him thinning their commanders and field leaders. A slight smirk rose upon his lip, if not for the fact that others needed his help more he would have shown the legion of the dammed that even without rank indicators the flow and ebb of battle would the leaders and commanders as troops rallied around them and followed their instruction. Luckily for them Temujin was busy with saving as many battle brothers as he could when he noticed a rather promising interceptor, promising in potential judging from his performance but still needed much work, if the marine survived the battle then he might find him or at least search for his name and send it to the right people.

    His brief ruminations were short lived as he noticed that the ogryns were becoming more troublesome. While he could save more lives if he waited and searched the battlefield for more chances to save battle brothers it would be more beneficial to kill the ogryns now. With his mind set, temijun eschewed controlled single shots and began to shoot at the ogryns heads and other vulnerable parts as much as he could.

    The reiver knew that this could give away his location but it was a risk he was willing to take. Even if the enemy triangulated his general location it would take them a while to spot him with his camoline cloak and camouflaged armor. He planeed to do as much damage for as long as he could until then.

    The gore that drenched the Captain's talons caused the shining metal to glint crimson in the light, little hesitation to slaughter those who he'd offered mercy; their refusal meant nothing to him. Though at the sight of the other one who decided to fight with him was... well.

    It was a surprise. He'd stared down at the man as he killed one of the traitors, supposedly at least wishing to stay loyal for now to this Demigod that had spared his life. Before he had been able to speak, however, there came another foe.

    Brendar's helm turned to face this Chaos champion, 'Pridefury' being raised off the ground and its power field upon the head crackling in righteous fury. The talons themselves reached over at his 'follower' and pulled him back, as though to pull him behind Brendar for safety's sake.

    "I have had many times to die, Word Bearer," he said, his voice booming through the vox-grills with a sense of authority that few could match, "had it been such a time, we would never meet. Today will not be such a day either."

    For now he'd remain still where he was, The Wolf simply bringing his talons up and opening fire with the boltstorm weapon, firing into his foe and waiting for any melee charge to counterattack; his concern lay in any potential psychic powers, but even then he'd have confidence in both his Gravis armour, and the Iron Halo's protective capabilities.
