Way I see it is, more time to develop unique and cool looking gear so that when we do show up we won't have the issue the earlier iterations of the game had... samey looking marines. To be fair, it's come a LONG LONG way already.

Well that is incorrect, the Space Wolves will be in the game (I'm not even sure the game itself is canonical) since they listed them to be in the game, are finishing their models, etc...
Of course the wolves will be in the game, if they were to wait for the official storyline to move to a satisfactory point it could be years lol. Plus it's way too much of a popular chapter (for some reason) to not be in the game. (as a thousand sons fan it's pretty pleasant to read about the Fenris system being ravaged though)
HERETIC! Also, the Wolves are awesome because they eat, DRINK, slay bodies, and DON'T GIVE A FUCK. Haha. Kind of like Marines in the real world today. That's my reason for liking them anyway. Well that and who doesn't love vikings? Haha. Oh, and wolf priests.... pretty much one of the coolest units ever and I am going mad waiting for them to get in game.
