Where Are The Blood Ravens?

Discussion in 'Space Marines' started by Miletos, Nov 29, 2013.

  1. who owns the blood ravens any way. i know it was THQ but after bankruptcy i heard that Sega owns them and some one told me GW owns them now.

GW has always owned the Blood Ravens, THQ just had an exclusive license. The license didn't transfer from THQ to Sega when Relic was bought but the games that had already come out will now say Sega instead of THQ.

    Thousand Sons Loyalists FTW
  5. the Blood Ravens are Loyalist Marine Chapter formed from the Word Bearers or such... and it was 3 companies of Blood Ravens at Kaurava with a probable Chaos victory due to the Proximity and size of the warpstorm. Throughout the series of books which chronicle the Blood Ravens, everything is explained... from the fall of Tartarus to a Greater Daemon/Chaos and violent warp storms, Kronus to Necrons and the Kaurava System to the maelstrom of conflict from so many fronts.

But if we are trying to justify the chosen chapters for Eternal Crusade... List should've been as follows: Ultramarines, Black Templars, Raven Guard, White Scars, and Salamanders... With this list, you accommodate the largest chapters by specific type and likelihood of response and you cover all forms of combat from ideal Codex Astartes Tactics, crusader-melee tactics, High-Mobility/Infiltration, Biker Tactics, and Flamer/Burnout tactics.

Except that the Blood Angels, the Space Wolves, and the Dark Angels all have their own codex...and all of the ones you just named build off the generic Space Marine codex. GW isn't stupid. It knows that the Space Marine fans are divided between a few codices. There was never any chance that those three chapters wouldn't be in.

Edit: Well, GW is stupid. But they're not that stupid.

    Meh Blood Ravens?
    Probably stealing library books...
Relic is to busy making games for the Blood Ravens as they try to find their founding.
Really minor chapter but still has some good history.
If many people want the blood ravens they might be added along with the Tau, Dark Elders and hopefully Neurons
  8. I have but one problem with the Blood Ravens: the casuals keep thinking that my Blood Angels are actually Blood Ravens and ask if I forgot to paint the shoulder pads tan... Not sure if trolling or not, but definitely making me feel the Red Thirst

bloon angles are just stupid Blood Raven ripoffs, amirite or amirite
  10. All chapters are based off of the Blood Ravens. I don't know what these guys talking about =P

No but seriously, Death Company FTW
