From my memory there was a few ships of the sons that got away. I believe they were told to split up and that's where the blood ravens come in. Now you have a small chapter size group that became the blood ravens. That stayed in the imperial space to look for ways to help their brothers get vindicated and forgive for what happened to them and the largest group gets the information and sends it back to Magnus , such as ways to heal them also how to attack the space wolves. I feel that's how the sons got the info to attack the wolves in battle of the fang. this is all my opinion though.
Well it's possible that the blood raven where a thousand sons successor because Magnus saw the future and all he saw was the symbol of the blood raven , and there's a cult of the raven
To be fair, a lot of them are supposed to have been gifted from other chapters not found/stolen. But yea, it was a pretty poor mechanic to make almost everything look stolen, which gave them a really bad reputation on top of the fairly flawed story telling the games had xD (as much as I did enjoy the games, that being said). It's funny, considering how tightly they hold on to any relic, that there's that one mission where they happen to find a bunch of their own relics. Obviously at some point they were less anal about keeping all the relics they could find
That's the thing about the Sons of the Russ, you can't destroy us. We held our fortress against the thousand sons with only one company. Its like what a Dark Angel said. Fenris breeds heroes like bar breeds drunks. As long as the people of fenris fight to survive. we will never be short of fighting power.
ok listen up and listen good Space POODLE. The only reason you beat the thousand sons is because Magnus let you. Legion vs legion no aide from SoB and no fuckstodes. Now if Magnus did not send half his legion to the twilight zone and had the legion as a whole and fought the Donkeys from space, the pound puppies would of been destroyed. Don't hate when its very true if Magnus would let his sons know a head of time they could of fortified the planet and been ready. One day the sons and Pugs, well fight and on that day no mercy and no quarter given.
