its more like theyre already fighting chaos forces on the bridge and then your wonder team of 3 shows up and saves the 20 so blood ravens by marching through them and defeating all the chaos forces. Then theyre like "ooo ultramarines, how we adore you so much, is there anything we can do to repay you" with their girlishly innocent eyes.

They weren't made by THQ. They were listed in the Index Astartes before Dawn of War happened.

Well, if I do recall correctly DoW was during 4th edition and IA that gives a brief fluff on the Blood Angels is not prior to DoW game but after it. GW was supporting the DoW game also by releasing an article for them in White Dwarf 305 (US) I think, since a lot of people confuse it with White Dwarf 295 which is actually for the Relictors.

This made "official" this Chapter from 2004 as it also appears in some other places, but a lot of the cannon of the Blood Ravens had to be retcon do to timeline issues.

Some of it's wargear has been re-fluffed to a certain point but you can still find some relics that they have from other Chapters, that they don't recall ever giving it to the Blood Ravens. They also appear to have a crush on the Space Wolfs as they have named 4 relic in their honor, while naming 1 after the Black Templars just to spite them.

The Blood Ravens are suspected to be Thousand Sons successors do to:

*During planet Arcadia incident Librarian Rhamah is referred to by the Prodigal Sons "Son of Ahriman", "friend of Ahriman" and as a "lost brother".
*Eldar tome called Un-Founding that has the Blood Ravens crest on the cover. Ahriman concedes that he once owned a copy of the book and that another one was in the possession of Azariah Vidya (of whom Ahriman states, "I knew Vidya better than you might expect"). He further states to Rhamah "We are not so different, you and I. We were not always so different...there was a time, long ago, before the Change, when the Thousand Sons of Magnus wore the blood-red armour of their Primarch."
*"Knowledge is power" was actually the motto of the Corvidae Cult of the Thousand Sons.
*Ravuel Arvida of the Corvidae Cult was sent into hiding by Magnus the Red before the Burning of Prospero and therefore not falling to Chaos.
*Ravuel Arvida upon his decision to dedicate himself to discovering the true causes of his Legion's destruction and combat them.
*Revuel Arvida, has certain stylistic similarities to that of Azariah Vidya, Great Father of the Blood Ravens.This could just have been a simple to avoid being hunted and destroyed by Loyalists Legions at the time.

Now that is for me pretty strong ties to the Thousand Sons.

I also do not think Blood Ravens should appear in this game, as there are other First Founding chapters that still need to be represented first, but I wouldn't be surprised if they are added as a DLC skin as well as the other many successor chapters that have a bigger or equal sized fallowing.

I'm a Carcharodons Astra player and I still think many Blood Angels fans are trying to say their chapter existed prior to DoW but I'm sorry to tell you it is by a month (I think) or so after DoW was released that you became official do to the high sales and support of GW to the game to bolster it's revenues. You might have noticed tho that with the uncertainty of a DoW 3 game and it's quality GW is moving away from the Blood Ravens.

I don't recall very well the narrator of Soulstorm, but I'm pretty sure GW will "help" with some of their already book narrators they have to help with EC.
