By the way i have been wondering, how did Kyras became a daemon prince of khorn when he hates anything that has to do with,sorcerer/librarian since they fight with psy power rather then hand to hand kind of fighting.
Kyras got slowly possessed by a powerful Daemon of Khorne when he got teleported to the Judgement of Carrion and became Influenced by the demented voices of Ulkair, after he and the Previous Chapter master had just battled the Greater daemon of Nurgle on Planet Aurelia. The Khornate daemon in question was this: http://wh40k.lexicanum.com/wiki/Maledictum#.UrixkPRDv_E Personally for a Khornate daemon, he planned Everything quite nicely and managed to cause half an entire Astartes chapter to turn to chaos, plunge an entire system to the brink of war, have entire planets be destroyed by the "Holy" Inquisition, etc.

Khorne daemons aren't dumb. They're single minded to be sure, but they aren't morons. Read Fear to Tread as another example if you haven't already. Not only is it a bad ass book, it's another example of a not stupid Bloodthirster.
Blood Thirsters are the masters of battle. Remember that planning, strategy, and tactical accumen are all part of that. Also, they've been fighting for tens of thousands of years, with more experience than even Chaos Space Marines.
