I hope the Blood Ravens are in this, I don't see why people think them heretical when from what I've seen they actually were able to do something not completely ignorant and what not many things the imperium could do, become allied with biel-tan, you know how hard that is to become acquainted postively with eldar? especially ignorant eldar who think killing humans will put them farther away from extinction?
Blood Ravens actually stealing stuff is just a joke, people. Like Ultrasmurfs and those pretty-boy Blood Angels.
Well I doubt they will be involved for one main reason: The Blood Ravens appear in the Space Marine game. That game is set in a parallel universe, as Captain Cato Sicarius is the actual Captain of the 2nd not Titus. So its fair to assume that both being Relic games the Blood Ravens don't even exist in the 40K universe. Not to mention all the cannon conflicts they present.
They won't be included for a simpler reason, they were relic's baby, and this isn't a relic game. Not sure they conflict with cannons though. Canon, maybe.
The Blood Ravens have already been confirmed as canon, just because they appeared in a parallel universe doesn't mean they don't exist in the 'true' one. For all the bluster from the B.Raven haters about us not being familiar with the lore and canon, they sure know little about ours and where we fit in the canon (ya know other than the memes that have ascended from it).
Relic and GW only said that Space Marine was set in a parallel universe not DOW. Also GW has put Blood Ravens in Codex Space Marines, so they are cannon. Although I don't think they should be the 5th Chapter, their are still 1st founding Chapters like the Imperial Fists that should be put in first.
I had worded that wrong, It was meant to say: The Blood Ravens in DOW might not even exist in the universe. I believe that it may present problem for the game, for example who is their Chapter Master? I actually quite liked the Blood Ravens in the Game. Only because someone has a legitimate problem with something doesn't make them 'Haters'.
Gabriel Angelos if the SM ending to Retribution is part of the canon, but GW seem to be tight lipped about what the canonical ending to it actually was. I apologize, it is hard not to be overly defensive when the most common reason for not including them is "lol magpies" or some variation on "I don't like em so they shouldn't be here" and when they are presented with counter arguements to some of the more valid points, they ignore it and keep pushing the same point (particularly the 'stolen' relics and weapons in DoW2 being there for flavour rather than the Ravens being serial kleptomaniacs).
I kind of hope it becomes a thing for Blood Ravens to mysteriously have weird items in video games. Like Frost Blades or Fulgrim's old sword or something. So ridiculous it could never be real but where it's funny to 40k fans.
