there is a link i posted in here somewhere that relic is indeed in negotiations right now with GW to be the ones to do it as GW own all IP not sega as many believe. Will see if i can find the interview site i saw originally and will post it here
Aramus? Who`s that? yeah, its a shame that after a while of playing the AI gets tired in DoW2 and stops attacking and taking points.
Relic was sold to sega when THQ fell. Bankruptcy and liquidation On November 13, 2012, THQ reported that they had defaulted on a $50 million loan from Wells Fargo and were on the verge of bankruptcy. With its stock price plummeting from early November values bordering on $3 down to $1.16 and with long-term liabilities of $250 million, THQ was forced to delay the release dates of its flagship titles Company of Heroes 2 and Metro: Last Light to March 2013.[39] On November 29, 2012, THQ partnered with Humble Bundle to launch the Humble THQ Bundle in an effort to raise more money.By December 12, 2012, THQ sold nearly 800,000 bundles, raising around $5 million;[40] THQ President Jason Rubin also made a purchase, spending $11,050 on the bundle.[41] On December 19, 2012, just days after the Humble THQ bundle ended, THQ filed for chapter 11 bankruptcy.[42] On January 22, 2013, creditors approved an auction of THQ's properties individually.[43] The Homefront franchise was acquired by Crytek (whose UK studio was developing its sequel prior to the auction), Relic Entertainment and the video game rights to the Warhammer 40,000 series were sold to Sega
yeah, but (I don't know if) GW maybe don't want to let Sega have the WH40K rights. Cause I can't trust them...
When the THQ defaulted and went bump the rights for the Warhammer 40k license went back to GW (I have a feeling thats why we have seen an explosion of 40k games over the past year), though the rights to publish the games already made went to SEGA. So if you were to buy anything related to DoW then SEGA get the money for it, though SEGA have purchased the rights for Warhammer Fantasy with their studio Creative Assembly, this has led fans to speculate that a Warhammer: Total War is in the works. Maybe they want to see what SEGA can do with the Fantasy rights before giving them the go ahead with a 40k game
