As the title says, whenever I close the game crashes my pc to green screen then shuts off my gpu, have to manually restart my pc, some times i can tab-alt out and use task manager to close the game, but some times the game does the green screen thing this way too, been doing this scince about a month ago, anyone have any advice on (or also getting this) what to do? The game when I'm running it runs fine no with no issues, just can't close it with out having to reset my whole pc. Oh am running it on a amd R 9 380x if that helps.
Have done a temp check, the card running at 65 degrees, which normal for my card, and can play the game for hours at a time with no issues, it just happening when I shut the game down, it more anoying than anything, can't seem to find anyone else with this problem (as I did a sheach too),when I restart my pc it acts as if nothing has happened, thanks for having a look though.
green screen ?? this is odd because TFT/ LeD screens just turn black if the pc just shuts off or when there is no picture to project. unless you are using a 1980's tube tv monitor... are you ? If not then i agree with the guy up here . you should be looking at your hardware .. some part is dying by the sound of it ... If i was you i'd start backing up my drives ... just incase its the thing thats dieng.
Ha ha ha, I'm not useing a 1980's tube tv, though that a pretty funny image , it only goes green for a few seconds then black as me gpu shuts shuts down, then blue with the no signal box as per a standard lcd screen not reciving a signal, and only when closing the game down (not any other time when the game running for any period of time), sometimes i can still hear the sound so know the game still running, other times not, but can see the computer go to idle of the desk top on the light at front of the pc, it not likely to be a hard ware problem as a.) The card only just over a year old (though possible) and b.) it this game and this game only doing it, none of my other game do anything like this (like battlefield 1 or space hulk: deathwing that have a compareable level of graphics), they all shut down fine, so it this game, hence I asked on here and not on a tech site, have a fair amount of knowledge around hardware as I build my own pc's just not much idea about software, and as I have never seen this happen before I was thinking it may be a software interaction, and wondering if anyone else had this issue and solved it.
It is a very odd problem. The responses I have seen on green screen issues don't really give clear causes or fixes to them. Most of them were about bios temp settings, driver issues and video cards about to give up but I didn't find anything that resolved any of those issues sorry. Have you tried rolling back to a previous video card driver?
Yeah, checked the drivers and also updated me bios, still persisting, no not had this happen before, it defiantly the game, as tried loads of me other games and it not happening, damn it annoying.
Ha ha ha, damn that nurgle putting bugs in my pc, but I gotta sleep some time, was hoping the emporor would help, or the tech priests.
