I was referring to your original post but besides the point the issues is settled let us work together to help purge these people making the game more toxic for the both of us
First of all, a lot of us who play Eldar hate this exploit and we are against it. We get into the WS and move them or even destroy them. There are 1-2 Eldar guilds that abuse this exploit but as I said, MYST, WP and so forth (which are the major guilds) are against it. Also, before you continue complaining, just remember the spam of the power fists when they were bugged, the rites of fire, burning choppa, PC, etc. All these bugs and exploits suck the fun out for both sides, so just wait until it is fixed (hopefully soon) and don't assume that all Eldar players use that or enjoy when someone else is using the exploit. It makes us even more frustrated than you because it reflects badly on all of us.
That staircase leading up to there, used to be in another place and there used to be a pillar preventing this. You'd have to bounce of a small hill to get up there before and even then it was tricky. Now you just fly up, like it was made to do so. Also, killing that wave serpent is so damn easy when it's there, that it's pretty much a waste of the vehicle. It can't even help much from there. So the devs have tools to prevent this, they actually made it easier and then call it an exploit. I think that's weak. If you start banning people from using the map to their advantage, then you're doing it wrong. If it was the first iteration of a mapm and you could use some tricky glitch to get a waveserpent in places they shouldn't be, sure call that an exploit. But when you actually make it easier, I'll consider it an intended feature. [EDIT] Actually i don't see how this is different from that Harkus and that new fortress map where you can drive up to A and assist from within the vehicle. Also my point is not to say exploiting is OK. But this just isn't an exploit regardless of what the devs say. It's a mistake in the map. And threatening players, who may not even know that you labelled this an exploit, is the wrong way around. Fix the bug in your map. [/EDIT]
This needs fixing asap tbh, its generating alot of hate we really don't need. Map design should be the prevention! Players that do it generally don't listen to requests to stop & you can get a surprising amount of vitriol for even suggesting they do so. I'm hoping the devs do something about it & are now taking falcons for a spin on all new maps before releasing them.
MYST and WP were doing a wonderful job of stopping this kind of stuff from happening until OBST decided to do it for lulz.
Where is the evidence of that? The only evidence I've found on these forums is it happening in matches where MYST players are in the match (though not necessarily done by them), but never from WP or OBST. Poor form Aringhe, OBST does in no way encourage this sort of behaviour.
I literally went into your Teamspeak to talk about this happening in a game I was in. I only said a few words, waited for a response, where most of the people (I believe there were 5 or 6 there) were laughing at me, then Korlandril started saying "shhhh shhhhh shhh" and kicked me from the server. I was invited back about 20 minutes later where he said he didn't care, assured me the devs won't do anything to OBST or their affiliates (AKA banning, when I mentioned it), and said it didn't matter in the end, because it'll bring light to the bug so the devs can fix it. Note: he only mentioned bringing light to the bug so the devs can fix it once I mentioned possible bans IDFAG whether you think forum evidence is necessary to support it. This is happening, and it all started from OBST wanting some quick lulz. If you don't want to listen to the two largest Eldar guilds when we said this and pointed at the culprit, then you're free to believe what you want. I, however, witnessed it from both sides. I first saw it playing LSM, then I swapped to Eldar to reaffirm my beliefs. Then I joined the Teamspeak and was insulted. So, yeah, I'll blame OBST for the shit-storm that is the exploit issue with grav tanks. Now that stacking vehicles is public knowledge, people are doing it a lot more than is acceptable, and MYST/WP can only blow up so many before being kicked.
