I've played relatively the same as I did before as after the influx of more people, doesn't really bug me, I'm here to play, win if possible, but I'll take enjoying the game over obsessive drive to and need to win. Don't get me wrong, I'm not the person who goes "yay, everybody is a winner" but I'm inclined to let people make mistakes and learn from them or at least attempt to. The other side is now instead of being an average player I'm tending towards the above average, doesn't really matter, but there are badass moments here or there.
You're all fucking peasants compared to me! I have one of the earliest join dates. Get fucked. Day 1 Master Race.
Being absolutely classified as a "new player," I think it's an unfortunate side effect of relatively small-sided skirmishes. If you get a 15v15 match and half of your team is not in a warparty or guild (like myself) and the other half is a group all from the same guild, things are going to get tense if you're losing the match. In a situation with a larger player pool the ability, or lack thereof, of a single player or a group of players is going to less noticeable. If a particular player's poor skill isn't a significant detriment to the team, there's probably not going to be as much criticism. Unfortunately, that does mean that that player might not realize that they're not doing things properly but they're also not as likely to be put off playing another match or investing more time into the game if they don't constantly have teammates calling them names or berating them for not knowing all the tricks to their class or the map. Either a more in-depth tutorial needs to be developed or the "Elitists" need to light some incense and take some deep breaths.
You're shit, get on my level. Day 0 forum beta user here, check my URL ID. When it comes to elitism, a lot of people who have played LSM for a while are very fucking pissed at the amount of shitters in the game, people who put no effort in and whine when we lose but end up 15th or 16th on scoreboard or lower, with no intention of improving. to those people, git gud or die tryin. That being said, anyone who wants to improve, feel free to hit me up and I'll run you through as much as you need to better understand EC.
I don't think it's specific to EC. In every online game, you unfortunately run into those "holier than thou" assholes who think they're better than everyone just because they push a few buttons on their keyboard ... I guess it makes them feel more confident about themselves What is specific about EC, though, is that the tutorial teaches you absolutely nothing ... I myself almost quit playing after my 1st battle when I realized that I knew nothing about the game and how to play it ... fortunately (and mostly because I'm a huge W40K fan) I stood in there, asked questions on these forums and ingame, and progressively became a bit "better" at it. And now, even if I still consider myself a noob (still Rank 4, WTF is this huge grind ??), I often finish 7th or 8th on the scoreboard, and sometimes even with a Commendation ... so I often do better than those who spend their time complaining in chat about those "fckin noob cunts", and that's actually really funny to watch To me, one of the most important thing the devs should work on if they wanna keep their new players is the Garrision, so that we actually learn something about the game when we first run through it !
I'd like to know how we can pick on F2P peeps when we don't know who they are... It's anyone with a low ranked toon gets stick. I just got a couple of new slots nd started a Goff and Word bearer - I get shit for doing what I'd normally do and peeps won't listen because I'm a noob apparently; despite having 500 hrs under my belt
