Whats up with the Dying/Bleed out after Ragdoll?

Their bodies flip out/toss up into the air.
Its so random and funny at the same time that I think thats not how they are suppose to die.
I'm on the ground in Bleedout, timer runs out and instead of lying flat on the ground my body flips up into the air.

    That's how ragdolls work

Yeah but its so hilarious yet kinda kills it XD
Someone also mention this "Sometimes you disintergrate into a red glowing energy. And it's just from dying from tyranids or from non plasma and non explosive weapons. Or you just flip out and ragdoll."

You disintegrate into red glowing energy when you get killed by a lascannon

The ragdolls lack any real physics as they're just jumbled up piles of Unreal Engine cloth ragdolls. There are ways to make them more realistic looking it just requires work that the dev team can't put out. I honestly wish they did away with the ragdolls and did static death animations...

Static deaths? This brings back memories of corpses clawing at my power armored boots, keeping me trapped as I desperately try to escape the fridged clutches of their fingers....

In other words getting stuck on bodies after they die.

Uhh no, those are downed states that were and are still ridiculous to have in the game. More so it should have been an optional perk you could equip to be in a downed state.

Unless you're talking about the few months since release when corpses actually had more rigid collision physics with the player.

What i'm talking about is Planetside 2 tier "Death" where the player is static in one spot with a hard rigged death animation and would allow medic to revive the "dead" so to speak. So no floppy ragdolls and no collision physics between the player and the dead guy.

I did mean the collision bug.

Speaking of which, this just reminded me of the floating magic ragdolls from dow 2 retribution.
