Hi there. I've been following this game for a while and decided to make an account. I've known about the 40k universe for a few years now. I've been interested in getting into the tabletop but balk at the sheer cost (You have to get the core rulebook, the codex, a starting army, all the paints and glues...), but I have bought the original Dawn of War + expansions and have read and enjoyed several black library books. I'm probably just going to be Free to WAAAAGGHHH until if/when Tau (my favorite faction) are added. There is no foe that cannot be overcome by a belief in the Greater Good and the relentless application of firepower.
Welcome then! The more the merrier! I understand your sentiments toward the tabletop costs! A friend of mine started really small with only 500 pts. but was content to play skirmishes with that for a long time
