    i have a feeling this wont happen because of GW's ..... they are really picky about thier IP on wierd topics like colors, or gun availability and also very against blocking. it might happen some day ... but i kinda doubt GW will open the door for that.

    They did actually mention a long time back that they would consider having a tool to make maps.... actually I don't know when or if they actually said that to be honest.

    In all seriousness, increase health and shields up to twice as much so people don't die so fast. That way there may actually be more fights going on rather than running back after dying.

  4. Space runners is more appropriate! Run for your life, run for meltabombs, run for cap, run run run... or better (beside of eldars). clomp clomp clomp obsesssively, place a weight on the shift button.

    This whole planet and everything we do on it is just a training field for the galactic Athletic Olympics - run a lot, do some field event here and there, etc.

    An actual decent melee experience as a Tactical or equivalent would be nice, kinda like it was for a while in Alpha.

    Too see this done, I would reduce the gap between the weapon weight class durability losses. The knife loses so much durability during a clang that there's almost no chance of ever winning a melee fight. Once you're committed to melee, you're pretty much dead. This is tiring and frustrating because of how many melee players there are and how difficult it is to stop them getting into melee with you.

    Also it seems unfair that tacticals and their equivalents do not get to get a "free hit" in after stunning with D-bash. This basically makes melee even more impossible. There isn't even a need to boost evade out of the stun (which can be done) since you can just spam RMB and out-clang. The only response as a tactical is to spam Dbash until the other guy grows a brain and uses strong attack.

    • If you get a winning clang, only 2 out of the 3 winning interactions give you any damage. Since people usually spam RMB (and rightfully so) you are forced to use Dbash; the result that does not give you any free damage due to the short length of the stun.
    • If you get an equal clang, the knife seems to lose 33% or more of it's durability, even when master-crafted. The melee classes seem to be able to endure several clangs before durability is broken against a weapon of their own class, let alone the knife.
    • If you lose a clang, the resultant free damage from the assault class almost kills you. If he doesn't continue to bash your face in, he can just move away and finish you with the pistol.
    As you can see by discussion alone, the melee experience is too heavily in favour of sword-and-above weapon classes. The knife is extremely disadvantaged to the point where you stand about as much chance as a devastator in combat. This contributes heavily to the prominence and dominance of melee in the game at the moment.... it is also the key factor as to why playing tactical is frustrating. Why bother when enemy factions are littered with melee classes that rip through you.

    I've not yet seen an impact generator for knives. If there is one, I'm definitely going to have to use it in all ranged loadouts. If there isn't one, this is pretty much the only alternative I can think of to giving tacticals some sort of a chance in melee.
