Possibly, if he was good enough to track me sprinting and not lose the charge up when I stopped suddenly in cover. I don't think he would have had enough time to start the charge and hit me in the time frame between when I stopped moving and when he hit me (EDIT: unless it charges/fires faster than a lascannon). It was within 2 seconds. But why would it leave the crater (again, I saw one on at least 2 of the deaths)? Honestly, @SenorFuego's idea sounds more plausible but I don't know!
Also, I think I have another screen shot I can post when I get home tonight. Maybe it has better clues.
The glowing particles in the bottom left of your screenshot are the residue that remains when you are killed by a beamy deffgun. Regardless of what happened at other times or how long you think you were stationary, that kill you showed was from a beamy deffgun.
I'll have to play orks some more to understand what each weapon is because I'm confused! @SenorFuego: "...what I THOUGHT was a Sparkycannon (Orky Lascannon)..." @NicholaiPestot: "...beamy deffgun (zap gun). So yes, the orky lascannon." Anyway, it annihilated me and fast when I *thought* I was relatively "safe!" And @Thana, if that's what killed me 3-4 times and I never saw him/it...well, even though it was on Harkus, I think it's time for me to throw in the towel because I must suck harder than I ever thought! lol Thanks again, all.
From playing the newest patch, I also got onehitted from Chaos. But I am pretty sure this is just again the problem with it not showing that you are being shot. You think it's onehit, but on his screen he shot you for 5 seconds.^^
That's the one! It has a mortar shot as well. Haven't tested this gun myself and I've only seen a player firing the mortar shot (fires very similar to Plasma Cannon mortar, much slower than the direct-projectile round we see @ 0:40 in the video). This was already next on my weapons' list to try out, now even more-so.
@Lichtbringer, man I hope so or I'ma be stressed out every match waiting for the insta-gib! @SenorFuego, yeah, you're gonna blow peoples' minds in and out of game. If that's what hit me, it rips sh*t up!
