What We Want For The Eldar

    Seers Council of some sort when a you group with other Ulthwe Farseers/Warlocks would be a cool concept. But definetly need all the aspects represented with all their special weapons from the codex, double spinners. And maybe some old school weapons like web of skulls.

    Forming the Seer Council would be awesome and the web of skulls would be interesting to see implemented.

    Given that I just saw a bulky as hell Space Marine roll over his shoulder in many different directions and vault over some terrain in to a sprint i'm REALLY looking out for how they handle Eldar movement.. I want quick and smooth.. 'lithe', Initiative 5 isn't just for show.. faster than a Superhuman Space Marine is kind of our thing as far as the Table Top is concerned, we hit first most of the time even if it's weaker (Not so in the case of Striking Scorpions).. I will be watching for that speed..

  5. Standard eldar were originally no physically faster than a space marine, but as you say mentally faster through their initiative. However some of the aspects and harlequins were significantly faster. Do we foresee the various eldar having different speeds?

    The recent 40k rule battle focus added a real speed boost in that they can move as a run action before or after shooting. How would you represent this in a real time game? A simple physical speed boost or perhaps more accurate firing whilst running?

    The Eldar always had better initiative. Even the "normal" ones. It was more of a reaction and dexterity thing then flat out running speed. Is that what you meant?

    Re speed boost & accuracy- How about we have both?

    I'd also like to see more ability with moving around/over/through obstacles. Parkour comes to mind for aspects. Banshee's, Dire Avengers & Swooping Hawks definitely, with Scorpions and Fire Dragons a maybe. Harlequins would be Parkour++

  7. Yeah that is what I meant. There were exceptions some like the banshees (?) and harlequins were faster moving too (if i remember right).

    The faster units moving quicker over obstacles makes sense for me and could look fantastic too. The fire dragons in my mind are the more heavy troops and for me that would mean the same sort of movement restriction as a SM but the others definitely fit the theme for me.

    I think of Initiative more like overall agility, given that it's application in close combat makes them swing faster or first and that I would imagine combines movement, dodging etc.

  10. I really won't play the puny eldar, but what I want from having my battles against them. I want them to be difficult to hit, both by shooting and melee. Like they have many dashes and somersault jumps that are fast, allowing them to (with a skilled player) be able to dodge, move out of the way, jump over my attacks. I would like the eldar to be hard to hit. That plays very close to the lore, and would make them very unique to fight with.
