It's it funny and ironic that a devout Chaos worshiper doesn't even understand the basics of how the Chaos gods interact with each other!

Simple lesson; The Chaos gods will be their own undoing. We are just helping them along a little. ;)

When Cegorach's final play is enacted you will end up doing our work for us.... Now I think it is time for me to get some popcorn to watch the show. :p

Who's misunderstanding here? Me or you?

Because you'd know the Great Game works two ways. One stops existing, they all stop existing, Slaanesh has existed across time and space the instant you created her and as a result 'always' existed as part of the universe. Removing her would upset the balance, and it would inevitably lead to the other three giving your god a beat down.

I mean, more of a beat down then we already gave him.

    No. I mean you. :p

The great game only works one way, not two. The Chaos gods fight constantly for supremacy, but never get there and never can. There is no other way. The whole "unstable balance if one dies" malarkey, is just to help chaos worshipers sleep at night, so they can dream of winning "The Great Game".
It wouldn't surprise me if Cegorach "invented" this great game thing as a bit of a joke. it's just unfortunate that you Chaos types are far too serious to get it. :D

Yes, yes, I know full well about She Who Thirsts existing at all times, as do all the gods (even though they understand that some were created before others- conundrum?).o_O

The Eldar don't have to destroy any of the Chaos gods to get what they want (destroying them not being possible in the lore). What the Eldar want is to sever the tie to She Who Thirsts. That. Is. All. Once the Eldar have that, they can get on with their re-birth cycle. Trolling Tzeentch and the other Chaos gods is just a bonus (and me poking fun)!

For someone who owns an entire library on the nature of Chaos, you know very little about it.

Why would that be invented for Chaos Worshipers to dream about winning the great game? the entire thesis of it is the exact opposite! that the great game can NEVER be won, it is eternal, and whenever you are about to win then the other forces of Chaos will inevitably push back.

Severing She Who Thirsts from the materium would, as a result, require fighting all of the other three gods at once. It doesn't matter if that's your only goal(Spoilers, it's not as the Eldar have been fighting Chaos as a whole since forever.) you'll still wind up fighting all of Chaos anyway. The Eldar are hopeless, your entire race is doomed but you keep clinging on to scraps of your former glory and trying to undo your misdeeds as if you're above consequences, but you're not.

This time, the consequence will be extinction.

Your getting mixed up. You are correct that the "great game" can't be won (as I already said), but where you are wrong is the part about you Chaos mon keigh knowing that you can't win it. It is the nature of all the chaos gods (maybe not Tzeentch) and their followers to try and win the great game.

As clearly indicated by the entire concept of the Long War.

You need to brush up on your Chaos Space Marine history, we haven't been ignorant about the concept for ten thousand years. Even people who participate are perfectly aware of how unwinnable it is, but do so for favor or power.
  8. Dragonkindred Dragonkindred Arkhona Vanguard

Okay, I'll give you that. I don't read much about chaos mon keigh books, though I have read a lot about their gods. ;)

Well, at least you're respectful. :p

I would pick up a couple of them though, Talon of Horus has a Dark Eldar supporting character, believe it or not.

All the HH books concerning the traitor Legions provide a good insight into their motives for following chaos.
