Lets face the guard has the crappiest arsenal in the imperium with only exception being the tanks. What sort of gear would give lets say they crack open an STC and find something cool my picks New infantry armor for em. how awesome is it they can drop from orbit without a drop pod and land safely. Human version of terminator armor. Sorry space marine versions.... YET!!!! hahaha
agreed with the heavy bolters and plasma guns but one requires either great strength like a catachan to wield or efficient teams. the other well plasma guns are not safe unless elite level gear not available to guardsmen. agreed on training not so much on commissars we need the commissars to inspire not make you afraid to the point you want to shoot them in the back to keep yourself safe.
Oh yeah, I forgot. Replace all imperial guard with Catachans. Stop using armour, their abs are just as strong as the usual cardboard they have Humanity saved gg
training in catachan mandatory for all guardsmen eh high casualty rate but has to be done. as for battle sister PA hah the guard wishes they had that but sadly the damn thing is looked at with reverence so guardsmen will never get one
Easy, give them cardboard boxes and flashlights, oh wait they already have that, then they are at the best of their ability
