Oh and while I remember . . . Ghostwatch is pretty frightening. As is The Innocents. Though I can se why they're not everyone's cup'a'tea.
Well it depends on what you're looking for. I realize not every classic horror film wil lbe everyone's cup of tea. But that said you could check out some of the items in my main listing. If you want some good suspense try John Carpenter's The Thing and the Thing Prequel to it. Or check out some of the more classic films like hte early Friday the 13th, and so on. OR if you want some with a hint of humor try Tremors 1 - 3, Evil Dead 2, Army of Darkness. These are the only ones I can think of.
Seen all of them, mate. Utterly love "The Thing" not to sure about the prequel . . . didn't like that much .The descent was good if you haven't seen it.
Funny you mentioned Event Horizon. Me and my friends went to the movies to watch that expecting it to be some sci-fi action film (we didn't watch the trailer)..... god were we wrong..... lol In terms of movies that sh*t me up - Exorcist, Poltergeist etc... these sorts of movies really send a shivver up my spine for some reason.
Certanly not "The Thing" Hoss Delgado versus the tenticale T-rex inside of a tenticle T-rex flying around in a stereotypical flying saucer.
Oh man I know what you mean. I first watched it on Netflix, no idea what it was and thought...This has a Chaos Marine feel to it. But man, Poltergeist, the scene with the face melt at the mirror and the giant white ghost guarding the doorway, that was freaky. Never saw the Exorcist though.
I still need to watch this so I can say that I did watch it and have a right to say it's shit. CHAOS SPACE MARINES SHOULD NOT DIE BY 1... 1 F*CKING BOLTER SHOT! Plus the demon at the end or something not even fighting the Ultramarine and just getting his shit smashed by a Thunder Hammer.
