What would motivate me to board the strike cruiser for Arkhona? You guys are already doing so much for the game and to attract new customers. My opinion, the one final piece that is missing, fair prices for your store items! The price for the game itself is great, 40 dollars for 40k is a great slogan and good price for a full game. However, when so much of the game is based on using RTP and micro-transactions and you think about how many items players will buy, and you look at current prices (even with the new 5 dollar discount on the weapons in the store), the prices for all items in general are still about 5 dollars to high in my opinion. I think these prices throw many potential customers off and causes them to rethink their purchase. The thought process in my mind is, "Wow, that is a lot to pay for an in game weapon, maybe I will just wait until the game comes out to see if the game is any good before I put that much money into a few weapons and the game itself". This also holds true for the relic weapon packs as well. I firmly believe that dropping in store item prices and announcing the new prices on the website, through media, and in an official forums post, coupled with finalizing and streamlining the checkout is something that will attract many more players at this early stage in the game. Lots of people come to the site and look at the game, but are hesitant to spend the money you are asking them to spend on items that do not exist yet for a game that does not exist yet. Above all for me the feeling that I am getting the game I always wanted at a price I can afford is just as important as showing off gameplay, discussing elements of the game, or setting up fancy deals with third party manufacturers and companies. Especially when micro-transactions are embedded with a game like this.
The hope that eternal crusade will come to ps4...and that my founder pack will be able to be used on my ps4 account.
because I'm thinking about diving for my first time into an MMORPG. plus, i've been lurking around warhammer 40k for a bit, so the moment i heard a game which promised epic battles like those described in the lore was being developed, i decided immediately to jump. in addition to this, when i first heard about this title I was still sad because of the closure of THQ, which led to the deletion of the upcoming DARK MILLENIUM. as soon as i heard about this other title, i decided to follow it during its development, so that i wouldn't have had any other "bad surprise". at first i was just a guest, but, then, i was amazed by the community and by the relation Behaviour was building with his fan base. at that point, i finally decided to take part in the long journey that awaits us till our arrival to Arkhona.... oh, and finally, also because BLUE EZ DA LUCKIEZT, EH EH AH! >:}
Hi, for me it's kinda a way of life. I've "championed" several mmo's and beta'ed and pre-ordered as such. And i held onto some of those games far longer than i would have games i just bought at the store. I like the thought and idea to be part of creating something. On a greater scale than you can ever do with a single player home alone game, mmo's give you that chance. And for this project it was WH40K....i love the IP, both fantasy and 40K...and this game looks promising. And the team gives me confidence, so i had no doubts about founding.
Being one of the Older guys in the community this is the game , I have waited a very long time to see. I got into 40K as a very young kid near the end of 1st edition. I have always hoped someone would make a persistent 40K universe inspired game. So to have a chance to get in on it back it and play it is awesome. On a sidenote I was this excited about DMO too, but after seeing what they where going to do with it I am glad it died. 40K should be grim dark not Disney dark so its nice to see you guys keep to the grim atmospheric setting.
I've also been very into Black Libraries current push to make Chaos a more rounded faction. They do bad things sure, but I love how they've been having writers portray them as more sympathetic characters with complex motivations and even debatable justifiable agendas. The expansion of the grey area within this IP has certainly drawn my interest, and even if one were to have a more Imperial perspective, having better villains makes a better story, and a better story means more interesting heroes. When the bad guy is flat and cliched the whole story suffers, as such it's good to see that in the grim darkness of the far future there is no clear protagonist.
The prospect of being totally immersed in the 40K universe. The hopes of discovering a complex, rich , unforgiving and extremely challenging game world worthy of the 40K title. What do I mean by complex and extremely challenging? Think Eve Online meets Dark Souls 2 in a 40K setting. Each and every visit to the forums, each and every visit to the live stream I hope to challenge the community and game developers to strive for a game that's a cut above the rest. A game that's not just another COD or Halo copy cat. A game that encourages and rewards team play, that rewards players staying alive, that challenges players individually at each and every step of the way. A game where each and every UI element, every mechanic, every magazine change, every weapons swap, every piece of armor and ability used is based off of the reality of the 40K universe. A game where the unknown is omnipresent, where we're not constantly "spoon fed" content, enemy locations and rewards. I can't count the number of games I've been excited about, only to find the content itself over simplified, not immersive at all, too forgiving, where failure is impossible and death has ZERO consequences. Or worst of all I feel like I'm playing the same game I've played 100 times previously, with a reskin and new setting. I visit the forums to challenge the community and Behavior to strive for the ultimate Warhammer 40,000 experience. Challenge our minds Behavior, not just our ability to stare at a minimap and mash buttons. Don't sell out by just copying the latest and greatest trends, do what needs to be done to enable the best 40K experience possible.
Wouldn't that be awesome, though one caveat. Warhammer Online after we had Beta Tested it for 2 years on the live server and a lot of the imbalance issues were worked out, specifically crowd control finally reaching a playable state and Bright Wizards finally getting nerfed.
