What Motivates You?

Discussion in 'General Discussion' started by GuillaumeBergerot, Nov 13, 2014.

  1. 1. Playing as a Khorne-devoted Iron Warrior has been a dream of mine for a long time, shooting my melta and cutting with my chainaxe gets me pumped

    2. I've always enjoyed fast, visceral combat in video games, i still replay Space Marine's campaign sometimes just to do those executions.

    3. The devs legitimately care about what the fanbase thinks of the game, theyve flat out said "no" to any corporate companies wanting to screw up the IP we all know and love, and theyre very transparent and willing to have dialogue with the fans on how the game should work in all areas

    4. I. LOVE. PVP. Any type of fast, visceral multiplayer action is my drug, the fact that you rely basically on reflexes and aggressiveness to come out on top is addicting to me.

Despite how many of us feel about some decisions the current management at GW make reguarding the tabletop game/IP. the fact is the universe they created is compelling- its dark, its dirty with a little spot here and there for every one of us. this immersion, this classic GW vision is what we want to partake in.

We by all measure want you to take the proper amount of time to produce something fantastic that we can be proud to be a part of. beyond our minis marching across the tables and the fullness of lore leaping from the pages of our favorite novels we have the opportunity for a new level of immersion beyond the video games that came before, I know you used THQs "space marine" as a starting point and then moved to free the universe from the enclosed battle arena style they made it in. to me this is a good start and I want to be here to see where the ride takes us.

Your approach to creating a fan base in a saturated market is new, fresh, and I do enjoy the livestreams very much.
I would like to see a list of ideas and concepts you have adopted due to (potential) player input, things you are considering due to this input (adding new stuff), and things you are re-considering (changes to original game concepts) due to player input.
  5. Why did I get on board? Just watching the livestreams from the first to the latest you can see how much the game has grown over these last few months. It is starting to look very promising, and it's still in pre-alpha. I also like the level of interaction between the development team and the community. It really feels like a collaborative effort by everyone to make this game the best possible game it should be.

Pure fantasy of being a quirky Eldar Farseer with a somewhat blasphemous outlook. Wandering the skein, shoot some lighting, craftworld hotties. All in a cycle's work.

What motivates me to support game that isnt that much right now? Well...
1)Developers. You guys are awesome, telling us truth about development and showing even the earliest demos.
2)The game. It sounds great. Something like planetside should aim to be.
3)Payment model. I will be able to purchase the game and play Eldar, yet I still will be able to play with f2p friends on alt character. I also love that I wont have to pay sub.
4)World its set in. I actually never played/ read / watched / purchased anything warhammer before, but the universe sounds awesome. (really, how I missed it for so long?)

Kind of with Nahtow, this game involves a very diverse universe with a lot of depth. I have been a fan of it a long time and really just super excited about seeing a well developed shooter based around things I pretty much love. Plus some of the mechanics and weapons I have seen so far look really good as far as modern shooters are concerned. I like the revive and heal, the squad buffs, the diversity of weapons staying true to things we are familiar with. Execution is a great addition, only because who doesn't want to brutally murder heretics? I really see this game having a lot of potential, especially with it being different from most shooters out there.
