  1. I really would have loved to see that game, now it's just lying on a shelf somewhere.

TBH from what I saw in their teaser: From the gameplay, the art style and the choice of character types, I was not excited. The game would have been way to much like WOW both in gameplay and in art style.

while not trying to defend WoW I would point out that there might of been enough WH40K fans prepared to play a WoW sized themepark MMORPG, but DMO had serious flaws besides its chosen game-type format,

having said that.....I would of played DMO lol

To go back on the subject of the post, for me at least,is simply a question of work on it.
I'm a huge fan of Games Workshop works (not really for the lords of the rings, but still i think they did a nice try) and over all,the wh40k universe. When i first read of the Dark Millenium,my spirit warrior was rising high :D
hoping to see soon some official pre-alpha video, then they turn me down when declared that the project was cancelled. Then, like a light in the dark :D,here comes Eternal Crusade and the techmarines of Behavior that raised my spirit once again,i've litteraly jumped into the ship hoping for the best of this game.
For long story short, always for me,is the expectation and hope to play it in the alpha, hope to help improving the game, and see a great MMO that could annihilate WOW from history (i know,is a dream, but i like be a dreamer :D) because i never liked that game and i've seen many games trying to copy it,failing i must add.
  5. Hmph. Chapter Master, If I may?

Citizen, what burns in the heart of every Space Marine with a righteous and unquenchable flame... is Faith. Where the body fails, It sustains.

You speak of motivation. Hmph! For the sons of The Emperor, their souls are not their own, their will but echos of their Father's desire. Doubt, distraction have no foothold in the heart of this Adeptus Astartes, for my mind is empty to better reflect the glory which binds me in consecrated manacles. These desperate questions will not save you now.

You see my armor, my steadfast companion in Holy War. Adorned with scripture invoking His name, begging for penance and blessing as I tread through stars of blood. What purpose would I have other than that Final Judgement, to which all but He must bend the knee? Death, too, is His servant - both warned and lauded by my footsteps. For this plate of Purity holds me up in times of trial and preserves this vessel of Endless Crusade in the grim darkness. Through which we have traveled to settle the score.

You see my weapon, my shield, as faithful as brothers unto my hands which rise and fall in an ceaseless intonation of duty and worship. Steel, colder than the Void itself, blessed by Holy hands and kissed by ancient rite form the blade. A silencer of heresy, an edged gavel of Imperial Decree. Now, a weapon of vengeance. It's thunder cannot be ignored, not while my Father still draws breath. The Bulwark of Benediction is bleak and black, bruised and dented from the many hands of Chaos which sought to destroy a servant of God, only to be turned aside by the whisper of Grace and the promise of Retribution. Never has my hour of need been so great that my brothers in arms could not protect me.

LOOK AROUND YOU, CITIZEN! Look at the ranks of my chapter brothers which stand ready to bring The Emperor's Will to a world ripe with sedition, blasphemy and CORRUPTION! Listen to them seethe with battle hunger, impatience incarnate for the righteousness withheld while you grovel on your knees for mercy! Cast your eyes to the TITAN which even now towers over your cities to the south awaiting the TRUTH! Can you hear the mighty rumble of our fleet in the heavens above!?

[Thick metal fingers grasp neck, hauling to eye level with cold, blood-red receptors, accompanied by the whine of armor servos]

DO THEY STRIKE TERROR IN YOUR HERETICAL HEART!? DID YOU THINK WE WOULD FORGET THE DEBT!?

[Finger loose, thud in the dust of the street, a bolter is drawn]

Hmph. And you wonder what motivates me: I, Captain of the Black Company, have come for justice.
    I have come for reprisal.
    I have come for War.

I think what motivates me the most, besides my love of the 40k universe and lore, is the fact it is the game I've always wanted. I enjoy strategy games and the recent Space Marine, but I never really felt the epic scale that I felt when playing TT. This game is built for epic scale and to immerse players in the 40k universe, it's something I've wanted since I learned about 40k. One of the things that burned me out of TT was the fact I could never play as much as I wanted to. I was always building, gluing, and painting and never came close to getting back that time in games. This game gives me the opportunity to experience the game I love the way it's meant to be experienced. I honestly had no issue in dropping the money for a Captain's pack, because I feel that that bE was the perfect developer for this game. I'm really excited for the future of this game and can't wait to see the livestream on the 19th!

  7. Love of 40k, excited at the prospect of (possibly) a game that captures the essence of 40k, intrigued by the handling of marketing and the game by development - which is amazing (totally open with information), and a solid community of die hard fans all pulling for success (very few trolls here).

  8. So far, I love the series and it looks very promising. You listen to the community and does what would be in the best interests in the community. The gameplay seems straight forward and one thing that will draw in a lot of players will be the one time payment. Sure you have a shop which may make some people think it is pay to play but you have balanced everything and have even given good deals while not sacrificing balance. Everything looks promising. Keep it up and you will definitely see me buying the Captain Pack.

-Have an impact on the core of the game which all else will be built upon.
-Learn more about how a game is built.
-Be there from the start with the community, the "best time" is when a game is new before the paths are set out for you "this is how you play" and the community/ in game language/ spirit is often better at the start of the game. Be more prepared for launch of the game.
-Have an impact on the games future, monetization, if the game fares well i might be able to play Tyranids some day.
-Its W40k, need we say more? =)
