Hello Crusaders! Hope you're doing fine! It's almost winter here in Montreal... Actually, around 0 degrees, maybe we can consider it as winter But that's not the subject of my post. I was wondering... What, in a product development phase, motivates you to get "into the ship"? EDIT: "get into the ship": register, come on the forums, support the project (not necessarily buying it atm) Thanks for your answers! Gui.
That you are listening to us and developing a game we have been waiting through years of failure, corporate sellout, premature death, and disappointment.
Just knowing what is in store for the game, perhaps the IP, perhaps a concept video (That got me into MWO and to fund them their Founders) but basically anything that grabs my attention in some way and makes me shout "WOW awesome!" With you guys it was reading the vast FAQ on the forums which enlightened us as to the direction you guys were going and the 40K IP help as it's my longest running continuing table top game from 2nd edition. Making myself feel old there so I'll shut up now
Well open worlds, grisly settings, and potential for deeply customized experiences certainly draws my attention.
If it belongs to a franchise I love, and if I like the concept and I feel like that concept is going to apply properly after the development stage, then I jump in the boat. Although I have never pre-ordered anything until Eternal Crusade. What EC did to win my heart was a combination of appealing dev team, willingness to listen to the fanbase, and the ambition of the project)
1. Wanting to play a Nurgle themed Sorcerer since ages ago, this project will make my wish come true, bloated belly and all hopefully! I even made a makeshift Nurgle Sorc in GW2 since the launch of the game, to get my disease caster fix before EC rolls out a true Sorcerer of Nurgle in all his fetid glory. 2. Open and talkative team, one that also is open to compromises. 3. Im a sucker for massive PvP, it being set in my most favorite universe sweetens the deal even more. Heck i still play GW2 WvW more because its the only true fun RvR out there with a grand scale (dont even mention the abortion that is TESO) then cause its still fun. So a refreshing breeze of mass PvP is expected.
Is it wrong of me to mention the first snow fall? This game was a bit of a one off for me as it immediately ticked all my boxes and I was one board from the first annoucement
Well, generally, for kickstarter / early access game, it's a mix of something new, concept, unique visual, game like Darkest Dungeon, Bedlam , Dex ... For EC.. Well nothing good in mmo since the end of WAR Online . So Warhammer 40k+ mmo + rvr ... = shutup and take my money.
