I'm not sure how to kit my boyz out. What makes the toughest ork so tough? There's more to it than raw stats but let's break it down into the gear for our loadouts.

Edit: Generally speaking. Please add what you've found to be more situationally beneficial both game play, role wise, and anything else you think may be useful to us gear up!

Toughness finally has some value now that every peasant doesn't run around with powerswords. Stack it to high heavens!

Yeah, toughness is the best since most people are using guns right now. More often than not it'll let you face tank more rounds than if you just went for straight up health/armor

just stack toughness and armor like on every character xD

Teamwork definitely trumps the the raw stats but I'd like to discuss the stats not the teamwork in this thread if possible! Thanks so far for all your inputs.

If you don't have the burny chopper, this is a great setup for sluggers.

There's some votes for Health. Can anyone say why?

A new question has occurred. Is there a stat preference when facing certain factions?

    Thanks again everyone!

@Fiesty_Won I do have the Burny Choppa. I'm a bit apprehensive to learn the melee system quite yet though.

because it's what we stack easiest? I don't have 272hp on my shoota anymore, down to 240ish but I do have 160 armour? While it looks like I've lost EHP, I've actually gained some. Though, we can't get toughness as easy since they reduced the non-Nob gobs (Still with me?) Non-nob-gobz! to 20 instead of the 30 it was.

Most of my CSM loadouts save for ones that require a specific mark become default MoN with T2 or 3 armor depending on my weapon and most of them have 150 Toughness and an EHP of 348. My shoota boy with a Shoota has- 387 EHP at 140 Toughness. My basic bolter LSM has- 350 EHP at 120 Toughness.

In my case at least, My Shoota Boy has more health and armor than my CSM, but less toughness. My LSM is the worst off all around, but I've hardly unlocked anything for Tactical yet. So that no doubt would be higher if i had.

These also don't factor in regen, as Orks Regen armor the slowest as it's not built in to their armor tiers like it is for SM's. I suspect this would be why our T3 armor is 350lp from the (At least) CSM's 400lp. I'm assuming this is the same for LSM's. I think our armors kind of over priced to say the second tier's- I'm going to do some maths here, which i tend not to be good at so correct me if I'm wrong but-

The cost of the first armor upgrades 240lp, same as the Iron Gob because they give the same stats. If 15 Armor is worth 100lp, that's 6.6lp per armor- 132 rounded down to 130. 20 toughness is easy to work out. 100lp. So, LP wise, i think it should be 230? It's 10lp though 20lp if you use both difference to be fair. So nothing major.

The other thing would be maybe changing the gobs back to 30 toughness? I get MoN marines are supposed to be tough, but given the 20 health, 30 toughness 60% slower stam regen and 50% poison resistance and well- I don't think the stamina reductions enough for what it gives, especially since if you don't roll around alot, you hardly notice it. And, can half it for a further 100lp. What could you do to them though? Slowing their actual movements speed to Ork levels could work? Given- Nurgle stuff tends to be slow.

Wall 'o text over! I look forward to hearing scathing replies when i get on the computer later.

My basic Shoota build Yellow Armor + Iron gob + Shoota with Barrel and penetration ammo (did not get the textured grip yet) + medpack.

This gives me 455,63 ehp vs 449 ehp against 100pen (MoN Marine with a similar Build)
you do more dps close, cause of the higher rate of fire and you get reduced headshot damage and you have more bullets to shoot, ofc the spread is where orks have problems with.
I can often 1v2 or sometimes even 1v3 my enemies when they focus me. Mid range you can duel sure but killing a marine gets harder and harder on those because of the spread. Doable but you need to know when the time is over^^
