Guys no girl weapon plz HEAVY BOLTER !! Insane rate of fire, big caliber for lot of damage. A must for defend, breaking enemy assault, make sure that your target stay at cover, tactical issue...
I'm a bit of a sword freak, personally. High Fantasy, Star Wars, Historical Japan (and dramatization), you name it. The same is true here, so Power Sword or Chainsword.
As a Black Templar myself I feel the beckoning of the close combat. A Black Sword as always and a Bolter on the offhand. Always have a spare Combat Knife too.

That was my loadout on Space Marine, generally. I had high pings so I couldn't rely on dodging stuff and hit them with a sword, so I think it's valid!
well, now that I have the permission to carry both weapons, am going to slay some heretical marines in the name of our glorious emperor...
I think for the way I would fight, I would have to have a bracer mounted Infernus Pistol while using a Power Sword and Power Fist for close combat. My ultimate combo! If it was just ranged I would get the Storm Bolter or Heavy Bolter.
