That's a Combi-Flamer pictured! Personally, if I was as into Salamander's as you I'd want a Pyroclast Flame Projector. Can work as a Flamer or as a Melta. http://wh40k.lexicanum.com/wiki/Pyroclast_Flame_Projector
Thanks for telling me I accidentally put melta! I was playing a little Space Marine earlier, and since there are no flamers I always use the melta, and well, slipped my mind I suppose! Anyway, in the last post I made I was restricting myself to things a Standard Salamander might have, and Pyroclast Flame Projectors haven't been heavily utilized (if at all) since the Great Crusade! Still, it's a mighty fine weapon, and I thank you for reminding me of it!
The Flame Projectors are indeed weapons of great honour and perfect for purging the enemies of the Imperium, saving its people from the terrors of the Traitor and the Xenos.
Well, I would go with a thunder hammer, what's more satisfying than hearing the enemy's bones crush and break eh? Plus I loooove getting my hands dirty Otherwise, I'll do with an artificer bolter...
Lightning Claws, or plasma pistol. The idea of shooting a small star into your opponent appeals to me.
I absolutely love the heavy bolter, as I can mow down my enemies and cover my allied marines as they move in to engage, but my favorite melee weapon is a power hammer, so long as I have a jump pack to rain down a thunderous hell upon my enemies. It depends on where I am needed to best serve my battle brothers.
