@Zhull I do not agree with you but I do give you that reading your posts is entertaining. Also as to the pose of the observer of apocalypse I remember the time when they were inviting people to the server for the first time by the waves (Captains, Sergeants and so on). Quite a lot of people were mad those days and asked for refund due to having the necessity to wait some extra week or two to get into the server. I was one of those who was supposed to get in on the First Wave, yet i waited some extra 10 days to get the key. I was furious since by chance I was sick and had to stay home for a week not attending work, which was perfect occasion to do some heavy gaming. I waited, I didn't refund and I have survived without exploding with my rage. I really hope I will be right again to have some hopes for the game well-being in the coming weeks/months. I must admit it is harder with every patch since I do not share the attitude that things progress as they should. The game is in need of further half a year of development and one of the major things that brought me here is out of the schedule (the open world). If I am proved wrong and the game turns out to be another "no mans sky", I will not cry to the pillow or spit my venom on the forums. I will be just very disappointed. If this two years of game development I am observing thought me one thing - it is to never again buy into preorders. Now since I am still here I might as well indulge myself with a little more patience.
Shouldn`t be launched yet. This is a shame couse they are compromising years of working with that decission. In Dj Penguin interview I have heard they will fix broken maps... this is great. The new advancement system is not perfect but it is bringing more fun to game. Main issues are: Optimisation - huge fps drops and still many people playing at 20fps. How they can expect good reviews without it? No campaign system - even the simple basic one that can be expanded later PvE - Still 2 types of gaunts and warriors only and not enough missions... not even taking part in campaign couse (look point above) Bugs bugs bugs - sound bugs, visual bugs, spawn bugs, stuck in terrain bugs, shooting through the walls bugs, more bugs. Simply just too many of them. 4 days for release... Not enough time to make it ready. I am not sure that it will fall in ornate way but it will struggle to recover at best. Wish it the best thought.
"Humour"... yes. Another thing Nathan is as always quite "unclear with his answers" and I think DJ just didn`t try to push him little harder. But there are some value infos in it. If you are trusting what Nathan is saying (which is different case).
Team is great, there is some gap between what players want and what devs think we want but they listen to a lot of things we say and they try to understand the community. Game is not in a good state at the moment (no point ignoring this part) but if people can not see how much the game changes for the better every couple weeks then I don't know what to say. Main problem is that there is so much whining that some good posts get covered by all the salty ones on the forum. As to launch I will not be playing even though I will sub as soon as it becomes avilable again just to support the team until I manage to build a gaming pc (waiting for zen+vega release and hoping UE won't go hrp drp on amd due to nvidia influence).
I just can't wait for all of the stuff promised AFTER launch, like the Warpspiders aspect or.......warpspiders. Im sure there are other things but I can't get past warpsiders...... Im just gonna wait it out and not buy it until the game shapes up to the way I like. That or until the price goes down.
^This. But they are just reviews. People don't pay money to wait around for 5 years while the game slowly gets better. Its not ready and its going to get crazy bad reviews. Its already mixed as hell and most of the positive reviews lack substance or admit there's not much to the game. PvE doesn't even exist really. There's no "MMO" aspect to the game what-so-ever. I want it to be good but its got SUCH a long way to go. And with the decisions towards how melee functions in the game with lock-on targeting and crap, its going to tank.
There wont be any apocalypse. If this game dies, it will be with the sound of a long slow wet fart. Anticlimactic seems to be the theme throughout this project. You have my compliments for your patience, myself I went with warrior pack, thing is, there's this phase where its obviously alpha, so things go slow or wrong. then its early access and things go slow and wrong, and then it launch and things go slow and wrong, and then its first expansion so things go..see where im going with this? At a certain point im stopping with saying: its just....*reason x* same here, my main objection is that they imo go about this in the most incorrect manner and because of this laissez-faire approach there could be an open world but there wont be enough players. I REALLY want this game to succeed but I'm not feeling it right now, and im not getting the impression the devs are on the right track. They seem to be determined to follow their own approach, it will not work and I'll won't 'spit any venom' I'll just closely monitor the reaction of especially the 'fanboy'type of players, to see how or even if they will react to the situation the 'haters' warned about. will they go full retard? will they stubbornly keep playing and praise each patch in full denial? will they send video deaththreats to behaviour wearing a paper back overtheir heads and furiously pinching their nipples? It's going to be interesting.
