They're good at being ugly, smelly and midly amusing. But it's not like LSM also don't lack a "thing" since Chaos does pretty much everything they do but better. Both those factions need a unique "angle" given to them.
They cant have a thingy, their plants. I mean you can try but Plants dont have babies, they have seeds.
The best thing about Orks is the brutal kunnin'... or was that kunnin' brutality? Yeah, well anyways, that's the best thing about the Orks. (I do OK in melee as a Slugga Boy vs all the factions)
Orks advantages is the waagh time at the end of a match, their much larger health pool, and the fact that even shootas are capable of taking down melee specialists quite easily. The massive damage on their weapons as well, paired with the horrible accuracy at anything approaching range.
Thing is, they don't really have "massive damage" on their standard ranged weapons. Some of their unlockable ones, sure *coughKannonDeffguncough*. But their basic shootas?
Their shoota is 10 less damage than a bolter *big shoota is 12 less* with roughly 3x worse accuracy so that's clearly not "massive damage". Most of the weapons are on par but not really any better than the marines. The only thing they have that does massive damage is the kannon and plasma deffguns the rest are either on par or lower than the other races. Their thing is they are a fodder race till the WAAAGH!!! kicks in then they become zerg.
Being the "fodder" race can't be a thing in a lobby shooter where you are expected to compete with other races. So they should lose every fortress defense? Well it CAN be, just don't expect people to keep with them for long.
Shoota boyz have the best hip-fire and melee out of the Tactical equivalents. Rank 1 boyz have 100 toughness, so basically power armor. Rank 2 boyz have 275 health.
