What Is Combat Like In Eternal Crusade?

  2. Oh man, I was really hoping that one can only play with the one class he picks from the beginning just like the typical MMO and not switch to other classes when you ragequit.....

    I never said it was an issue of the core concept. My original statement was "how are you going to balance it".
  4. Slowing movement speed down, slowing the length of the jump packs, making the combat animations for thunder hammers shorter?

    I hope jumppacks feel great. Just like in space marine, or better.
  6. They felt great but they were imbalanced, if they were slower and had less range they would have been perfect.

    2 questions please (sorry if this is the wrong place, noob here :p)
    a. What do you feel should be the TTK (Time To Kill) of an average weapon?
    b. How are you going to balance ranged combat with melee?

    I don't think all players like to play assault marines with jump pack on their back. Some may want to engage ranged units just like Dawn of War and roll like Tactical Marines. Charging at them can strike fear into enemy line (or our own casualties :eek: ). In open battlefield, assault marines can use storm shield like Orks use shield in SM, why not? Phalanx formation!? For encounter such opponents, just flank them since shield wielders are low mobility.
