And power fist, spears, poleaxes and a really long list, seems like we will have to wait to updates post launch.
You can promote treatises and corroboration in the Underworld between faction leaders, and I guess if you were ballsy enough to lie to another faction you could pull a "ruse". Although, they'd probably never cooperate with you again lol.
I saw this video and I could not help but think about how awesome the video was put together. I know you guys are working hard with SO MUCH to consider but I just want to take the time to point out one thing. One thing, which in my humble opinion, can and will go a long way when it comes to the "feel" of any close combat. In this video: View: http://youtu.be/VRyi2a511hQ You will see around 3:36 the combat/execution not only had blood but sparks and stuff (glass breaking). Point is, I think it is a little cheesy if a person has on some type of metallic armor and a person is using a weapon on me (metallic) and every blow, even before death, is a BLOOD pool. You can't get blood unless you hit... flesh... lol. So, regarding the video, would it not be too much to ask to have some small details like sparks flying/armor pieces splintering (not actually going through great lengths to have the characters' armor fragment and shatter but to have an effect of armor being battered and broken by way of some simple "metallic splintering display") I need a good example. Oh, In Dynasty warriors 4, if a peon tried to hit you but you swung first than their would be a "breakage" of the peons weapon. It's a simple graphic display which had a nice touch.. IMHO. So, the above goes without saying, regarding executions, could the effects/visuals consider the fact that there would be armor effects during an execution? I only mention this because material/armor is in MANY MANY games and MANY more games have melee/ executions and yet none of them have taken into account the armor effects of metallic on metallic violence.. (lol).
What about fieldcraft like making siege engines or remaking bridges that were destroyed the day before
Brent, sounds great. Though I am not sure how I like the heroic classes being like playing as another character. I guess its mostly because I imagined earning the Sternguard or Vanguard Veteran status and wading into battle as my veteran self. I can understand, however, because none of us want to see an overabundance of some classes like Chaplains.
