I'm not sure why you reacted like I was saying the game was like CoD? And using it like I was comparing the two games. It's like when people even mention WoW in order to reference something for discussion sake, and people freak out even though they fully understand the reference and it makes sense to them. The only reason I mentioned it is to reference a game with a very high, nearly instant TTK, that is a well-known reference point, there is no need to react like I don't know the game isn't CoD. Many of the characters we will be playing in-game are very easily killed on the TT, with only one wound, but sometimes decent armor saves (SM), and overall average toughness. They can almost all have a chance to be one-shot in the TT by a las pistol or flesh borer. So using that as a reference for TTK you don't even have to mention heavy weapons to consider that TTK will be very low. Also, in major battles with a thousand players shooting on each side, if TTK is fairly low, your chance of catching a stray bullet and randomly dying on a constant basis could be very high, which could make it frustrating for lots of players no matter the skill level. Thus we really have no true reference point for the actual TTK, and I'm quite curious if it will be reasonably high enough to allow for tactical play and reactions and use of character abilities, or so fast that you die before you can even react, or where along that spectrum it will lay. Space Marine had a fairly decent TTK on most weapons, but one decent player with a ThunderHammer or LasCannon (sometimes Plasma Cannon) could dominate a map with one-shot killing power, and eventually most high-skill players gravitated to those weapons in order to compete because you just didn't have much of a chance otherwise.
founders will land on arkhona soon! so I think in July or august will be the first tests or maybe earlier!... or later...
