Fair enough, let the 2 tons armored guy run faster than the 75kg light armour guardian, seems totally ok. TDA are supposed to be used in boarding actions, where the enemy has no place to run, spacehulks (really close space), and defense where the enemy has to come to you, it makes no sense to deploy TDA in the open but whatever.
well lore wise they are fielded where ever that the dudes who use them are stationed. and in canon are in all kinds of war zones from jungle to barren wasteland
no one said that they should be faster than an eldar guardian ...what i suggested is that the melee TDAs should have a faster warmup than the ranged ones not faster than the rest of the classes
Who even mentioned Guardians? Eldar will as a race and as a whole have mobility on its side, this doesent mean an assault TDA should be trolled to hell and back by having no change to give chase or defense against a feeble guardian kiting him, this is common balance sense. Eldar will probably give even regular classes a run for their money in mobility, yet if you think we should not even have a chance as melee classes then you should requestion yourself on how actually fair that is.
That's a terrible idea. Just relax for now. I bet devs will have some good solution to this problem after all.
Well what makes melee TDA faster than ranged one ? What if ranged one strips down his weapons a bit ? The he will be faster than melee ? There should atleast be some logic behind why melee would be faster than ranged.
Logic in 40k... this debate has been done in another thread. If you want me to humor some semblance of logic (which has been broken and will be broken in this universe and the game) Assault Cannons, Heavy Flames and the like are vehicle mounted gear in most cases, so it would come to logic that an assault cannon along with its massive ammo clip has more weight than lightning claws which are a few electrified pieces of metal.
In that case. No. And why is slower speed for TDA's a bad thing. In many games there is slower tank type class that is perfectly viable for gameplay. So chill out a bit and let devs do their job.
