Personally, I want to pay for extreme amounts of customization. At minimum I'd like: Effects and Cosmetic Customization It's not enough to just customize my character in 10 billion different combinations of items. Can we please be able to manipulate the looks of these things more than just colors? Here, let me break it down even more: Cosmetics: (I'm going to use Chaos Marines as a base for my examples here) Skins and things for armor. Let us be able to drag and drop things like sigils ONTO our armor. Don't like it there? Pull it a little bit to the right - then nudge it just to the left. Effects: Changing the colors of power fields surrounding weapons. Examples: Plasmaweapons that glow green, or even like a blacklight. Boltguns that fire streaks of blue fire - or are embedded with streaks of lightning (like the living armor of the Night Lords) Psychic attacks that have the same effect on game play, but can have entirely different spell "animations" (skins). Example: Warp Blast is a Nova spell that dishes out damage from the feet of the caster in a rolling wave of destruction. People who customize the spell can change its appearance from a wave of indigo fire to: A green wave of pestilence; heavy with particle effects that represent flies and foul miasmas. Blue and magenta fire tumbling with roiling faces and the maws of terrible ever changing creatures. Pink and black psychedelic kaleidoscope of visual sound and mental agony. Obviously, before we get too crazy, there should definitely be some limits as to what people can design, but really from an artistic point of view... this just seems too damn awesome to pass up, especially when a pack of players with similar tastes gets together and share their passion. What are your ideas for stretch goals? On this one?
Path of Exile does this, alternate effects (just cosmetic) for skills weapons and armour, but this shouldn't be a stretch goal IMO, is a way to monetize the game without affecting the gameplay they should just do it. Example of alternate skill effects and weapon effects. Personally I would want a new vehicle, don't know if a new light vehicle or something in between a transport and a tank like a razorbak and a new class for each faction, even 1-2 new nids would be cool.
I'd like to see flyable troop transports(flown by players) for each faction. NOT fighters, NOT fighter bombers, NOT close air support platforms. Airframes with minimal armaments and limited ammo that are implemented specifically to insert or extract troops, vehicles or supplies from point A to point B. These transports would be somewhat rare and would be implemented as faction wide assets. Strike Force commanders would choose when and where to utilize these assets. I'd also like to see Dreadnoughts and other iconic units for each faction implemented for launch.
The troop transports you speak of, something like the galaxies in planetisde? Only with vehicle transport capabilities. Id like to see a thunderhawk or equivalent for other species descend from the skies of arkhona to pick up a rhino with its undercarriage. Obviously some vehicles such as landraiders wouldnt be lift-able. However I think that a flying transport unit will be invaluable for a dreadnaught. I assume theyll be only able to move at running sort of pace for an sm so imagine if your dreads have been focused north in a region but they are then needed south to defend a facility! If they are very expensive things to field respawning them isnt a good idea, so definitely flyer transports.
