Micro transactions ruined PS2 for me either pay up, or play for 3 months to get a gun. Good way to put your nuts in a vice if you want to enjoy the game more. Also the MAX suits in all their variations ended up being lackluster or ugly as sin, definitely not what a terminator variant should feel like.
Yeah I had a real problem with how long it took to get new guns in PS2. I get that they need to make money from the game... but I think it would have been better to focus their money making schemes solely on aesthetic things in the cash shop rather than putting every new gun in the game behind a paywall. Forcing the player to suffer through a korean-MMO-esque grind just to get some variety in their arsenal really turned me off. I tried playing the game with a subscription and XP bonuses though and then it became a lot more reasonable. If you wanted a new gun you could actually work to get it within a week which seemed a lot more reasonable to me. Too bad you have to pay to get that kind of progression
Microtransactions will ruin the game for me, so i really hope they don't have it, you should pay for the game once and only once, the only thing i accept is founders.
BE are going ti have on going server costs. They either cover those with micro transactions or a subscription model.
nah, hossin still on track for end of week game update. the real question is will battle islands and intercontinental lattice be finished by time of EC release.
I think Miguel mentioned that if a faction got too zergy and the opposing force was under populated they would send tyranid swarms to attack them or something along those lines, their was a starship troopers reference heh. I'll post the link if I can find it.
I think one major advantage that EC has over PS2 is the third-person view and melee-system. As any NC from PS2 can tell you, a zerg of Vanu is nearly unstoppable, because its shooting. The same number of boyz zerging would be much easier because they have to get into melee to be effective, then even when they do, they can be out-skilled, kitted and out-matched.
well the launch day performance i feel will be a major thing to keep people in game. I feel ps2 lost most of his player base because of how bad there performance was and how long it took them to fix it. Als0 do we know if items with have like quality, or rarity to them? like greys, whites, greens, blues, purples etc things like that? I mean that's what it sound like they're going to have in game.
