Currently: 3 US servers, 4 EU servers, 1 AU server. Separate from that: 1 Russian server on a different client, 1 Chinese server on a different client.

2 US servers will be merging, explain to me how 10-1=2.

Already done, Server Smash dun goof'd and the new server name will be Emerald.

Umm...I'm playing PS2 as I have since Beta and still having a blast.

What BE can probably learn is that many players will try to screw over the mechanics they put in to wring the biggest profit for minimum effort possible. Which is the same as happened in W:AR. People actively avoid stand-up fights (I mean to say they don't want to fight at all no even flanking an established 'front line')

I don't see how BE will get around that.

They need to be more concerned with the MASSIVE over population of Space Marines, IMO.

There have been quite a few updates and it isn't meant to be an RPG.

I played PS2 for a few months on the Matherson server but it got dull pretty fast after that. Not enough content in my opinion

If you're making an action game without a story or RPG elements you're going to need to be able to provide a lot of new content to keep it fresh for people and I don't think PS2 delivered on that at all

    Planetside 2 lacked direction.

The lattice really improved the flow of the battle, and I'm personally taking a hiatus from the game until they actually manage to release continental lattice.

Zergs are dull and boring, I grant you.

Trouble is we don't know how BE will avoid that kind of behaviour. In fact the Orks (WAaaaaaaaagggghhh!) positively encourage it. :D

Being a commander putting in effort to conquer a shedload of territory only to see it lost the next time you log on is dull.

It lacks persistence, something continental lattice might help with.

Also let's just pretend the infuriating ghost cap wars pre-lattice never happened :p

Yeah, it's why I gave up chess. ;)

Chess is more relaxing, you don't have a rowdy bunch of Europeans insulting eachother over their heritage to command.
  9. EC is going to have micro transactions just like PS2.

zergs are fun when it's two or more zerg armies clashing and fighting back and forth. That's when you get the truly epic fights

zerging is really dull when it's one huge army steamrolling all the others. That's just boring for everyone
