Also, it's easier to find mods for the banshee & warlock sword than for the scorpion chainsword, at least I have only 1 for scorpions, and 3 for banshees/ warlock.
I'm till playing as a Scorp. I like the sneaky classes in most games so this is my go to. DA would be next in the list for capping. SH is next but is a pain to control (Need a lot more practice with it). I love hiding at a Obj and dropping a plasma present onto the unsuspecting. I there will be an upgrade to allow me to carry more grenades then I'm gonna be a bugger of a menace!
If I want to melee I pick Banshee or Warlock. If I want to sneak up behind enemys, I play a Hawk.^^ If I want to slowly creep across the battlefield and get a kill every 5 minutes, then I play Scorpion.
scorpion can unlock a poisonous chainsword, which i reckon will give it a lot of power in direct combat. I'd estimate it'll be better than the banshee when you havce that, and i might start playing scorpion when i get it.
Scorps with the damage or penetration mod and life steal are pretty damn good. However I'd still like to see the stealth damage removed and have them be turned into what they should be, a brawler that uses stealth to close the gap instead of something like scream or a jump pack.
I started playing more scorp once I got lifesteal but phased out to warlock again due to more utility. I did just get a lashsword the other night and it made scorp really fun to play again. Slash someone twice, stun, stealth away, and then watch them from a distance as they run around looking for you slowly losing their last hp from poison and sadness.
I primarily play as a combat warlock and I find that there's a lot of bad banshee players, acting often more as a hinderence than a help. I think there's just a lot of people that've been on the receiving end of banshee spam and decided that instead of fighting it, they were going to join that spam. It's a very straight forward class with a very powerful melee weapon. With how pretty much every map funnels people into confined spaces, melee gets popular and if it works, why wouldnt you?
