transgender is where sex doesn't match gender. genitals develop well before parts of the brain that govern gender, and we've come to find that gender is more of a spectrum than anything. I believe the post you quoted was being facetious though. There aren't even just two sexes. There are people with two XX chromosomes as well as a Y. Probably shouldn't delve too deeply into this topic though; people often have strong feelings on it.
