Just cause we smell doesent mean nothing else has the capability of smelling bad either. But yeah, lets pass it off as a "compliment" for now.
Fewlish Eldar, don't you realize how little support the loyalists have for allying with you, and once we take any territory you actually do have, you'll have almost no leverage for an alliance. They will scoff at your pleas for support as they assault your lands as well, believing themselves perfectly capable of crushing us all on their lonesome. Nobody trusts you enough to ally with you, and that's coming from a chaos perspective. Meanwhile we are perfectly capable of forming a temporary alliance with the Orks under the understanding that we're just gonna krump the same gitz before we krump each other.
until we see just exactly what holding territory does for a faction and wether it does the same thing for all factions, its hard to say if seizing/losing territory will either benefit a particular faction, or harm a particular faction, for all we know orks only need territory for salvage, so they would be happy with anyones busted territory, eldar may need no territory at all, and obtain their mission RP for screwing with other peoples, the real territory grabbers/holders may be the marines both LSM/CSM, meaning they beat the hell out of each other, orks pick up the pieces and Eldar just run around shooting/blowing up stuff no ones watching, all the while the tyranids try to eat anything and everything, being the biggest pain in the arse to the faction with the most territory
Maybe we Chaos players get more substantial rewards for taking territory, but holding it doesn't matter all that much. Would certainly fit our MO.
No-one is pleading for mercy. I see I have been wrong for assuming that Mon'keigh are capable of logic, even the ones who don't pray illusions. >Smelldar Coming from someone who serves the Master of Pestilence, this carries no meaning. You don't even know what a sense of smell is.
Do you care for our well being Elf? No? Then why are you preaching tactics to us? Unless you suddenly grew a soft spot for Slaaneshes tentacles i see no reason you would even want the Great Enemy to have a better fighting chance. Matter of fact our "lack of logic" as you call it would only benefit you more. The other situation is simply a thinly veiled cry for mercy.
"Easy prey appeals to your senses but blinds your purpose. The only war worth waging here is not for power, nor for blood. Only revenge. The Imperium will witness first hand the horrors their 'beloved' Emperor created in the name of order. Ave Dominus Nox!"
The Imperium has assembled a very large force for the attack on this planet. Your army is nowhere near that size. You are less a threat than you are valuable as a distraction. Hence why your survival (at least short-term) would be preferable, and your spending time chasing shadows not. A further reason to help you is that your existence as a threat to the Imperium also gives us additional bargaining power with them. Just to name two reasons.
