What Every Mmorpg Must Have And What Eternal Crusade Should Not

I agree with you there. I imagine the Eldar woudl jump higher and farther than a Space Marine and an Ork. S.M.s and Orks are the heaviest of the bunch and can't jump as far without the support of a jump pack. But that said, it would be nice to see them jump without the support of a pack.

What harmed a lot of MMO games:
    1. Lack of patches and fixes.
That killed Wrath of Heroes, Warhammer Online and numerous other games. Developers abandoned any effort to fix bugs and disbalances and shifted their attention to producing stuff for microtransactions.
    2. Lack of daring changes.
Reluctance to change certain disbalanced features is another horrible thing devs should avoid. In Warcraft III Billzard implemented drastic changes to the balance, somethimes overhauling entire gameplay. Like with armies of walking barracks of the night elves, if people remember.
    3. Abandonement of game community
Pre release, Red Alert 3 devs interacted quite a lot with the community, but right after release they abandoned all interactions completely. The game did not last long afterwards.

We all know the fate of Rome 2: Total War. Don't. Just...don't.

hell, if they don't pull a MYTHIC i'll be happy. i still almost cry when thinking about that game... i STILL have an unopened disc of the game... thats after 2 CE editions and a normal Edition i bought... /cry :(

(pulling a mythic is making WAR then 3 months after launch and they get their money just say "F*** it" and abandon the game)

Aww, look at all the people who think they're developers.

thats not needed, non of us think we are devs... we are just offering up idea to the dev team. they can't be expected to think of everything we, as player, would want/need. no kindly leave you insults unsaid
  6. Unless the 'non-welfare' gear from PvE raiding-style content is only of any use in further PvE raiding-style content and not useful in PvP, I'd actually take the opposite point. Earning contributions that can be used to purchase equivalent gear through PvP is important. Otherwise you hand a greater reward only to people willing to play a certain aspect of the game.

Now, that's not to say you can't balance it differently to WoW. WAR tried that, by having the PvE raiding gear be slightly less good than the PvP equivalents. Why? Because PvE could be organised at your convenience, whereas the endgame of WAR required your realm to utterly dominate the other side, win through a nasty keep siege and then various tinkerings of PvP/PvE endgame content. You can't just roll up on a tuesday and do it with 24 people. ;)

can we have a /warcry option?

That was mostly due to Mythic retardo approach to balancing - to compensate Destro overpopulation with overpowered skills for Order. Bright mages with Warrior Priests dominated the battlefield completely.

  9. I disagree, gear should literally ONLY come from PvP.

This is a PvP focused game, you should be forced to help your faction in order to progress your own character otherwise there is no point. You are literally useless to other players of your faction if you are not participating.

Cosmetics from PvE only IMO (Or at least make the PvE gear utterly terrible in comparison to the PvE Stuff).
    highs2lows and Vingador like this.

I was thinking about it. The separatism, should be discouraged - no more pvp vs pve set, maybe it's time to give NPCs pvp attributes. And again, xp based on team work and/or the relevance on teams should counts.
