As a novice player, who has no models / field time. I've just read through books / torrents. I have yet to read new editions, but I fear that I've lost interest in Newcrons of 5th ed,. Just seems they pushed to make them as fluffy as other races and I don't feel the added models / weapons are not necessary. Glad I don't have any $$ invested in that army and don't think I would pick it up anymore.

Speaking of Necrons, the BA/Necron Alliance for real never happened.

Those look horrendous for real, Kinda like the last edition of High Elves with their massive fucking club hands.

I'd prefer if Centurions, Grey Knights and their baby carriers didn't make it into the game.

The 5th ed DE codex was written by Phil Kelly, and thus was epic and bitchin'. Quality has a lot more to do with the author and not the edition. Steer away from MW and toward Vetok and Kelly, and you should be good.
