horrible balance Eldar can literally run through melee attacks all day, funny they get the best of everything and the only defense is "they sucked last patch" so broken its not even funny! broken mechanics Crashes entering games, games not giving anything for finishing them, crashes if you stay in the que for the next game, shooting through terrain, moving through terrain, getting stuck on terrain! attack vs defense with every advantage for defenders who the hell makes a game were the defenders RESPAWN inside the area they are defending? This is shooter basics 1 or god damn 1! And even teams, again so retarded it just makes you ask how dumb is this team? Putting weapon choices behind a pay wall, hello it is already bad enough vet players will be better at the game, have choice of weapons, all the upgrade options, and vet classes. Who in the hell is going to want to grind through this game 2 months in when auto targeting super death characters will just kill you over and over? Same thing with Orc players, by the time they get them to playable the other races will be super geared. Time wall BS added a week before the game goes live, was there anything posted on the forums or the website about them adding this retarded garbage? I get that the game was going to be broken bad at "launch" but to add this super stupid free to play feature makes me regret my $40 purchase even more. LSM and CSM are visually WAY to close, the art direction needed to be much clearer! In a game that features friendly fire and long range combat this is just a horrible game decision! Sad how far away from what was promised the release is going to be. I hope they can bring it together but for now my steam review and my recommendation is keep far far away from a far from finish product!
Actually Eldar was meh before last patch since release and are still being beaten by chaos this patch, but I'm not here to start a thread war. I like the how the marines look and the boltor customisations I love the Eldar visuals and the glitter gun I like how Eldar and Orks were introduced making the game different from space marine I like how bizarre and warzone esc the forums are every patch Now for you points: After game problems I agree this need to be fixed I agree that defense is a bit too good right now Currently their is no intended pay wall, you can buy some skin varients which does unlock the weapon but Eldar are a bit more handicapped since they can only get shuriken cannons and fusion pistols compared to marine who can use RTC to buy all their primary weapons and some with default attachments like the Strenguard boltor, but Eldar broken right? The grind wall is a test at 1/3rd the amount I think the devs said, this was introduced to see how fast or slow it is, also this is basically a beta so you expected to be guinea pigs for their tests on the game. LSM and Chaos look way different to each other, they can get flesh shoulders and skull helmets and have horns by default in addition no marine gets access to steel or darker tones in their colours other than dark angels who are obviously chaos anyway. And for your disappointment well I came in expecting a 40k shooter and got what I asked for so I would say your expectations were a tad bit too high.
They are still Unforgiven, aint they? Im not trying to start an argument, just joking. Speaking on topic - most visuals are right, most sounds are right, but gameplay wise there are more not-so-good things, than right things.
I was mostly speaking to the other guy, so let me try to say this without coming across as an insult: you clearly don't know what "Unforgiven" means to the DA. Because there is not a single writer at GW or BlackLibrary who treats the "the Marines on Caliban were actually the loyalists, and the traitors were actually the ones who won" theory as anything more than total bullshit
When there aren't bugs getting in the way, combat feels wonderful. All in all, I think the game is great, with some flaws holding it back from being really great. It's like a bowl of soup from a 3 michelin star restaurant, but the soup has a fly in it. You paid a lot of money for this wonderful soup, and it's ruined by this fly, so you have the right to be pissed. However, if you scooped that fly out, and said "Fuck it, gotta eat a pack of dirt before you die", I'd bet that soup would taste amazing.
