The majority of books describe it as red with only a few describing it as green. I personally think of it as different orks in different conditions mutate so that maybe in areas heavy with radiation their bodies react like the space marines and turn darker and the fungus stuff absorbs the radiation with a substance that looks green, so that is why they might have green blood. But for EC I would just stick with red.
originaly ork blood was green because of the algae content, it got chainged to red when i think 4th edition came out, it was thought that red for blood looked better on a mini, i think it does..... although i understand tyranid blood is black or dark colour ichor ? but the ork blood colour thing thats why the contradiction, someone changed their mind on the colour
